OK everyone, let's just remember that this is a MOTEL. With that in mind, and with a few advance preparations, this was an acceptable stay. We were in town for the CWS weekend but not for that- for a wedding. Every place in Omaha was booked!
The location was convenient (right off I-80 & not too far from the downtown area). There was a McDonald's & Farm House breakfast place that was pretty nice practically right next door. (Average breakfast food in a clean/quaint setting with good service). The interior of the motel could really use some help - water-stained ceilings, a fairly large ugly patch of mold growing in the hallway on the first floor. Our first room the sheets were clean & bug free as well as the bathroom. However, there was a funny smell (I thought comparable to the fumes at a cheap nail salon, my husband thought maybe a Freon leak in the A/C). Also the safety bolt was missing & looked like it had been busted clear off of the door and the shower did not work. They actually called us before we called them & upgraded our room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our new "suite" upstairs had some interesting features (a hole in the wall, a big slice in the living area couch's arm, dried nail polish stains all over the sink counter) however, it did have a clean functional bathroom & clean bed. The shower was actually pretty nice as far as motels go, they had one of those spa curtain rods that bow out so you have a little more room & the shower head gave off hot water with pretty decent water pressure. We got the idea to bring our own clean sheets because of some other reviews, and ended up inserting them between the hotel sheets anyway because our sheets were much softer & more comfy even though the hotel ones were clean. I also brought a soft hand towel for face-washing and plush tissues which added to the comfort of our stay & didn't take much room to pack. We both slept surprisingly very well both nights; the mattress was firm but good for back sleepers. All in all, this would not be our first choice for a place to stay again, but it was budget friendly and in a pinch we might stay again if we had to be in the area & there was nothing else. We would definitely bring our own sheets again, just for the softness and fresh scent of home. :)
