Arrival- Great timing and friendly service upon arrival. We were picked up very quickly from the airport by the hotel shuttle and our driver was very personable.
Check-in- Check in was very quick. We were given room 103, a very short walk from the counter. We were not given any information about the hotel or the surrounding area.
Room- The room was spacious and comfortable. Downstairs was a couch, bar area, and the room had a mini-fridge. There was also a full walk in closet for coats. Everything was clean. Upstairs there was a king bed, long bench (likely covering A/C ductwork), a sitting chair, and a bathroom. The area was fine but a bit dark because there were only two lights by the bed and one by the closet. It could use more lighting. The bathroom area looked a bit worn. The tub drain wasn't attached, the tiles were cracked, and overall it just looked like it needed to be refreshed.
Sleep Quality- the bed was very comfortable. We requested an extra blanket and that made it nice and warm. The downside were the windows in the king room that didn't keep the light out in the morning. Luckily the windows face south, but it wasn't as dark as I would have expected.
Location- The hotel was in a nice location. It was in downtown, but only three blocks from the west portion of the Old Market. We were able to walk and it was very well lit. The shuttle will bring guests anywhere within a 3 mile radius and because of where the hotel was, we never needed anything but the shuttle.
Overall- this was a nice hotel, but there were some things that prevent it from being five stars. Overall the best part of the hotel was the friendly service. The key opportunity for the hotel is that some of the areas need a bit more refreshing and attention to detail.
