We only spent one night here, but we found Donna very nice. She helped us with anything we needed. Even gave us coupons if she had it to where we were going. There is a whole separate area for the guests so it is not crowded at all. There is a room where you can sit and talk to the other guests if you like or you can just stay in your room. I only have a small complaint about our room. the bed was soo big it took up the entire room, and everytime I tried to walk around it I banged my leg. Overall a good experience.

I spent a week at Donna's Bed and Breakfast and I was very impressed with the value I received. The room and shared bathroom were incredibly clean. All of the guests that came and went while I was there were very friendly and it was alot of fun to meet people from all over the world. The breakfasts that she served were basic with plenty of choices for all types of tastes. For me, this was a great place to "hang my hat" while visiting my son wio lives on a military base in the area. When I booked my room it was all about the money I would save over a hotel near my son, but in the end I feel that staying at Donna's Bed and Breakfast enhanced my vacation in many ways! I will most certainly stay there the next time I visit Anchorage!

We stayed for one night at our arrival and for two nights before leaving Alaska. The first breakfast was okay, with surdough pancakes but after experiences at other B&B's, it was rather poor. The breakfast at the end was even less. The only choice you have is 8.00 or 8.30 (or two other hours picked by Donna).
Upon arrival a 'cool' Donna shows you your room, she seems to be not interested at all in you. During breakfast, she is more friendly. It's the only place in Alaska where we had to take out our shoes.

Our rooms were in the basement, both very full with furniture, the first room being a lot better than our room during our second stay, which wat rather claustrophibic.
The good internet access is a plus, and the 'guest linvingroom' in the basement, with a lot of books. The bathroom is fine, the price is reasonable, but in other places in Alaska, we got more for our money.

I stayed at Donna's Bed and Breakfast, May 24-31/ 2008. I really enjoyed my stay there. The breakfasts were wonderful, hot and filling, and gave me "great" energy to start my day! It is close to the highway where the beautiful mountains sit across from water (Seward) Highway I believe! Eye Catching Scenery for sure!

Donna was very helpfull and answered all my questions related to directions and site's to visit. She is in a quiet neighborhood and my nightly sleeps were very comfortable and quiet.

I felt like it was my home their. I couldn't have been happier and stayed at a better place.
