“Yikes-too noisy”

Although we were told that the students would be gone, they were not, and it was so noisy that we had to cut our visit short. The first night we slept with ear plugs, but on the afternoon of the second day the neighbors came out for a full blown keg party. The neighbors on the other side also started to party mid afternoon, playing beer pong on the front lawn. It was so bad that we left, as there was no hope of getting any sleep.

Additionally, the owner charged us over $70 more than the price he quoted on the phone. We were traveling with another couple and were told that one room would be 109 a night, and the other would be 119. At check out we were told that the rooms were now 129 and 165 nightly.

“Bit of Britain in WA”

Stayed for 3 nights, and had a great breakfast everyday. David is a pleasant host, and had decent tea which (for this Englishman) was what I needed to pep me up! Despite being close to the student area, especially fraternity/soriety houses, there was no noise and I slept well. With internet access and close to public transport, I would stay again. (I came for business at the university, and its a nice walk there from the guesthouse.)

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Quiet, near the university, friendly owners, enormous and delicious breakfast. David is happy to chat and has some interesting stories. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Recommended!
