“Look out, San Francisco!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

Though it doesn't offer as wide an assortment of retail that San Francisco does, the food options abound, from Dim Sum to Japanese to basic Chinese. "Waji's" alone makes it a "gotta-see" for any foodie around or just those people who enjoy food and different ethnic options. Daiso is another excellent addition - the "Asian 5 & Dime" styled store you can exit with bagsful of stuff you didn't even know you'd ever heard of, let alone realized you "needed" and at such great prices. A fun area to spend the day.

“Smaller than most, but very good restaurants!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

I have been to Chinatowns all over. Seattle's is getting better year by year. It is fun to spend a few hours here exploring and the food choices are great. Not only Chinese but every other asian cuisine.

“Get some Asia”

You can walk about and feel like you have left the States, without having the cars on the other side of the road. Clean and uncrouded, try the duck

“Really boring”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

compared to other chinatowns in the country, this one is really boring and not much people (density). they really need more people walking around in streets and maybe less parking lots and more buildings? more shops, people, and residents would be better.

“A Waste of Time”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2011

We walked from Pioneer Square and were looking forward to the International District very much. Turned out to a big disappointment. It was grungy and really nothing to see. We ended up just going into one little grocery type store with lots of interesting foods. Then decided to just leave we had wasted enough time here. With so many great things to see and do in Seattle, don't waste your time here.
