“A lovely boutique hotel”

We were only here a couple of nights, but our room was very nice, extremely comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful as we walked in the Queen Anne area. It is so convenient to downtown that we would definitely consider staying there again.

“Great price and better location”

Went to see a concert in Seattle and wanted something close to Key Arena. Found this place and it was within walking distance from many attractions and restaurants. There was no need for car rental because the train goes into downtown and then there is a monorail that is two blocks away from hotel. Cupcakes upon arrival were nice. The place was also very quite. Room was nicely sized. No complaints.

“Great Value for Money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

I stayed in this hotel for 10 days and it was a very enjoable and pleasant stay. The rooms are large, spotlessly clean and the service staff was at any time very helpful and went the extra mile to make me a happy customer (e.g. I forgot my mobile phone charger and they organised one that I could borrow for no extra costs). WiFi connection is not the fastest in the upper floors (I stayed in room 510 on the 5th floor) but unless you need to upload vast amounts of data it still works fine. The only one thing that I did not like so much was that someone must have tried my make up (there was a big finger mark in my make up box but I always use a brush!).

The hotel does not serve breakfast but there are multiple cafes within 2 min walking distance - I can recommend the Citizen and also Cafe Mekka. There are also 2 large 24/7 supermarkets very close to the hotel, where you get everything (my hotel room did have a microwave).

In the same building there is a restaurant named The Rock. I was never there but it was always packed with people, which I consider a good sign. Around the corner are some nice Asian places (Thai and Vietnamese) as well as two Sushi restaurants.

The hotel is nicely located in the Queen Ann district, which is a nice neighborhood as such but there are also many buses driving downtown regularly, I never had to wait for more than 2 min. The Capitol Hill district, which is home to many music bars, looks a bit far away from here, but is reachable in 10 min. by bus. A taxi from there back to the hotel at night was less than 10 bucks.

So, altogether I can absolutely recommend this place and should I visit Seattle any time again I will certainly chose this hotel again.

“great service”

We really enjoyed staying at the Maxwell Hotel. The front desk was SO helpful with giving us ideas of where to visit in Seattle as well as arranging transport for us to the airport. The hotel had a great feel about it, groovy, clean and very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who was staying in Seattle. The position may deter people as not in the centre of the city, but it is opposite the space needle and the monorail, plus a taxi to the farmers market for example, was very reasonable.

Room Tip: Higher the room the better as above the car park.

“Excellent hotel”

I went with a friend of mine to the Maxwell while visiting Seattle. I loved it. The garage has limited parking, but we always found a spot. It's a little tight sometimes so be prepared for 5 point turns.

The room was beautiful and very comfortable. It was clean and beautifully decorated.

There are some places to eat within walking distance but any of the notable stuff is a little further away.

I'd recommend this place to anyone.
