I stayed with Teo and Beba for 10 months, and their kindness and concern and friendliness was apparent to me always. Teo was a great conversationalist and very talented with his hands and happy to offer assistance when needed, and Beba was always prompt with tasty meals, and maintaining the cleanliness of the house and maintaining my ensuite and room, and friendly with a smile. They are two wonderful, and spiritual people, who love God, and i can vouch that an experience of Medjugorje will be enhanced by spending time at their pansion as it was one of the better experiences of my life. Beba Radic is the hostess of this small centrally located family Pansion in Medjugorje, 5 minutes walk from St James church. Beba is born and bred in Medjugorje and speaks little english. Her husband Teo speaks english and produces sculpured art , mostly religious items such as crucifixes and Marion works from local stone which are a good relection of the Medjugorje mood.
Beba, really named Ivanka, and Teo offer a B&B service with simple rooms and options for breakfast, lunch, or tea on a flexible basis. The meals are excellent local fair and very filling. There is also a laundry service.The room and board prices are very good.
Teo also offers a transit service to and from major centres. We have been picked up in Dubrovnik and dropped in Sarajevo. The cost was 100 Euro, some 30 Euro cheaper than the price offered by taxis when we were there last in Oct 2008
The rooms are humble and simple and very clean. There are no TVs and you come and go as you please with key access. The hosts are humble and spiritual people who know the visitor is here for a special spiritual time and do there best to make sure this happens. We have been twice and would stay with Beba and Teo again. The first time we travelled with 4 children under 12 and this was an excellent place to be. The second time was just the two of us - again it was excellent. We will certainly stay with Beba and Teo again in future if they continue in the Pansion business.
Our referral to Beba and Teo Radic came via the Medujorje Sentinel (Newsletter) in Australia. The email is one way to contact them but phone will also get you through but expect a brocken conversation with Beba until Teo comes onto the phone.
It is certain that a person or family wanting a spiritual experience in Medjugorje and possibly transportation would do well at this Pansion. Apart from the wonderful hosts, the central position is excellent for access to church services. It is also close to shops including Paddy's and Joe Walsh travel who can organise local pilgrimage tours to places such as Fr Jozo's town and church near by - a must for visitors.
Our family will hopefully be back to Beba abnd Teo in the future.
