Me and two of my friends stayed here for two nights and it was an awful experience. We got bit by bed bugs and were refused a refund. Bed bugs are near impossible to get rid of and it is easy to take them home with you in your bag, etc. Also, the bathroom was clogged and when we brought it to the staff's attention they could have cared less. Also, the location is not the safest. Do not stay here!!

Its not a good sign when the taxi driver tells you that maybe we should look for somewhere safer to stay before we had even entered Flo&Joe's! The constant smell of gas, cold and uncleaned rooms was enough to put you off alone, not to mention the unsafe location, I would warn girls not to stay here. But to then have members of staff opening a locked door during the night and walking in to our room was the final straw! Rocky I think was one of the guys that worked here was the only good thing, really friendly and gave us tons of help of where to go ect.

I don't have any bad things to say about this hostel, really. The location is a 10 minute walk from the French Quarter, and the place is in great condition, but the best part is the staff, who really take the time to make sure you're comfortable and are having a good time. Highly recommended

I stayed at Joe and Flo's with 6 friends. We got 3 rooms, and Betty was able to get us a pull out bed for our odd man out. The streetside was fine, we never felt unsafe. When we got there, Betty was able to split up the cost easily between all of us, and got us set up. We had 3 rooms, and they were all clean and the beds and sheets were clean and comfortable. They also have their own AC unit, so you can control the temperature however you want. The bathrooms are kind of run down, and the water pressure wasn't very strong. But it wasn't anything I was super upset about.

Betty and Marshall were very friendly, and they are able to help you out with directions, and recommendations. If you want somewhere cheap and easy to stay in, stay here. You can drop your stuff, park right up front, and just walk to the French Quarter, Bourbon street, and the river bank easily. We only took a cab once to the business district.
