We got picked up from the airport by the BEST AND FRIENDLIEST DRIVER EVER (his name is Deddy, his nickname is "DeKan" - short from Deddy Kantin). We then head to Prabumulih which is like 3-3.5 hours away from Palembang. The airport shuttle from Aryaduta we ordered was Innova, it was REALLY CLEAN and nice. His driving were so smooth, we didn't even feel the bad quality roads. Deddy also took us to the cheapest but great quality songket place and recommended us to great restaurants around Palembang. He is really polite and understanding. If we ever come back, we will definitely use him again! You should too if you ever need a driver!

Anyway, now about the hotel. FYI, this hotel was under ASTON before but starting 2009, they changed management to ARYADUTA. First walked into the lobby, I loved it already! Very quiet, clean, elegant, and the bellboys welcomed us with friendly smiles and attitudes. Really needed that after a long long hot day out on the oil field.

Had no problem checking in and the receptionists were friendly. I got the DELUXE ROOM for only IDR 700.000! The room were clean, spacey, and the bed....oh, I just want to jump on it and fall asleep!! They're so inviting! Love the natural themed colours around the room. Even the TV isn't LCD but I won't complain, as they have Wi-Fi all over the hotel, including rooms (and they're working perfectly).

Oh, and one more CRAZY THING about the staffs....The bellboy delivered luggages to my dad's room and my room...when I'm about to give him tips, he politely declined!! He said "your father already gave me enough"...so I insisted, and he still declined...saying "thank you Ma'am but it's really no need".....WOW! IMPRESSED!!! I wish I remembered his name!

The room dining menu was pretty impressive. Great selection of Indonesian, Italian, Western and Chinese food. I ordered Sirloin Steak with Mushroom Cream sauce. I asked for medium rare but they cooked it medium well (almost well done actually). But the mushroom sauce was so good that I couldn't complain, plus I was too hungry!

Didn't have time to try the breakfast as we're flying early to go back to Jakarta. But I know, next time I'm back in Palembang....I will not look elsewhere to stay, it will be Aryaduta indeed.

Great hotel in a good location. Quiet once inside the hotel, no hussle and bussle from the streets. The staff are very friendly and helpful even by Indonesian standards. Food is great, two excellant chefs. Good gym, pool and spa. Massages are cheap and very good.

Rooms are large, well cleaned and maintained. Very comfortable with great internet access, LAN or wi-fi in the rooms. Wi-fi available in publi areas around the hotel too.

A rather new and modern hotel located next to a big mall which houses Carrefour. The room is not carpeted. It does not have a bath, just shower. But the bed and pillows are very comfortable. Sound proofing is not very good - you could hear TV noise from neighbouring rooms if they up the volume late at night. Otherwise, service is friendly and welcoming. Buffet breakfast is okay, not lacking in quantity but quality is not as good as some other bigger cities. They have a large ballroom so it is a popular convention and event hub in Palembang. Traffic going to the hotel can be congested during weekends as it shares the same entrance to the mall. Fitness center is equipped with brand-new equipment, with a pleasant view of fountains. Spa has 4-5 rooms that come complete with individual shower and bath. The massage is pretty good value.
