We had the pleasure of this beautiful paradise being the first stop on our honeymoon. (Welcoming drinks, flower arrangement on the bed and all over the room!!) We stayed for 5 nights and wish we could have extended!
Puri Dajuma is an amazing oasis. So quite, relaxing and peaceful ( though I think that was helped by the fact that there were no children there! ;)). It's a 2 and a half hour drive west and worth every minute spent getting there!
The rooms are a good size, spotlessly clean with a lovely outdoor shower and garden. The views from the big windows are to die for!
The grounds are expansive and immaculately kept with a wide variety of trees and shrubs to shade you everywhere you go.
The staff (which are all from the local village) are so friendly, happy, helpful and accommodating. They are always ready for a chat and to share any info about their life and culture if asked. We had some great, yummy cooking lessons with chef Dewi who is a lovely young woman. Thanks Dewi!
The infinity pool has a great view and is clean.
The Day Spa is serene and reasonably priced with excellent masseurs.
There is a free taxi service to and from town or Medewi (surfing!!) whenever you want it.
And the restaurant is beautiful! Very traditional looking and serves top quality, very reasonably priced delicious food and cocktails.
The beaches either side of the resort were not very swimmable while we were there however they were good for exploring and a splash.
The resort is managed by Michel and he is a very welcoming host. He told us that ultimately it is the Villagers resort and he runs it with respect and kindness.
Hubby and I can recommend this beautiful paradise to anyone who wants to get away from the main hassley areas of Bali. Don't come here if you want some action other than a great surf!
If you want nibbles and drink lots of water we suggest you grab these on your way there as you won't want to leave to have to go shopping in town!
