Are just a few words that come to mind when I think about the ‘Kokonuts’ as I like to call them.

I fly for a living and stay in hotels all the time and I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Bali for the first time, as I did. The hotel itself is located in a lovely area with close access to corner stores for your essentials, a proper money exchange where you’re not ripped off and many nice eating spots surrounded by rice paddies. It’s not too far from the beach or the tourist areas by Blue Bird taxi, that said some people forget that it takes longer at peak hour! Being a little away from the crazy stuff gives this hotel a feeling of sanctuary and makes you look forward to it at the end of a long day out.

The staff at the Kokonuts is what makes this hotel! The moment you arrive at the reception desk you are made to feel welcome and if you actually take the time to talk to them, you’ll find out what lovely people they are. Nothing is too much for them and they can go above and beyond sometimes! It’s refreshing as everyone has different levels of english some more fluent than others, compared to when you go to the five star resorts. At which you loose that local feeling and it becomes more like something from home and not such a holiday away!

The rooms are lovely, spacious, clean and relatively new. The beds are comfortable and the linen clean with a nice feel! The kitchen has everything you need to cook but my suggestion is to order room service and have it at the kitchen table, the waiter sets it all up for you and you don’t have to do anything. If you have a room on the ground floor you can also see many different bugs and creatures in the garden. Tip buy fly spray and insect repellent as you will definitely need it everywhere in Bali!

The pool is always clean, has ample lounge space, a pool attendant with fresh towels and a service telephone to order food and drinks!

The Spa is my favourite, the girls are lovely to talk to, the treatments amazing and facilities clean! The spa rooms have waterfalls and lovely music adding to the atmosphere.

The restaurant serves lovely food at a reasonable price. I eat here often and have never had a problem, they are always accommodating to special requests. Breakfast is included daily, and I find it’s the perfect way to start the day! After a day or two the staff even remember the table or food/drinks you like which is a nice touch! The breakfast includes all the basics and is enough to get you going!

There are so many staff that made this stay and previous ones memorable and I’m sorry if I miss you out or misspell your name. My Star is defiantly Destriani from the Spa, see her for a lovely treatment to relax and energise! She is so kind and has always looked after me on my stays, I hope she is a valued member of their team! Kardek you made the restaurant a great place to be, i hope they have put fans in for the staff at the bar now! Icca in the kitchen your food is amazing! Octa at reception you went above and beyond thank you! Gede and his sparkling clean transport car! Wyan the pool boy! And finally but not least ‘the boss’ at reception. Thank you to all of you for your kindness, care and hard work to make my stay enjoyable.

As you can tell I love this hotel, if you’re looking for a five star resort or a hotel in the crazy area you’re looking in the wrong place! If you’re looking for somewhere beautiful, clean, safe and not nasty this is the place for you! With so many hotels to choose from this is a real Jewel! Enjoy BC
