We visited a couple of years ago when Dan and Karen had just taken over the B&B. They've made quite a few improvements (larger gazebo and these fantastic hammock chairs on the breakfast porch among them) and kept that fabulous sweetness and fantastic customer service. It's a truly winning combination!
We stayed in the downstairs mini-suite, the Fern Room. It was lovely. So quiet. The weekend we stayed was so cold, but the little electric fireplace kept the room toasty and gave such nice light (we used it almost as a night light). The bed was incredibly comfy. The water pressure in the shower was amazing.
I cannot say enough about how fantastic the breakfasts are. Oh, my goodness, shired eggs, french toast, muffins, I can't even remember what all else we ate, just that we ate sooo much and it was all wonderful! At night, our hosts had such wonderful treats... baklava, chocolate chip cookies, cheesecakes, oh my! And, always the coffee and hot water carafes were full and the fridge was stocked!
My favorite part of our stay was the absolutely wonderful Christmas spirit! Decorations and music were all over the place. We even had a little tree in our room! So sweet! One night, my husband went to be early, I came up into the main living room, sat in front of the fireplace and just relaxed. Pure heaven!
I felt 10 years younger when we left. This was only our second stay here, but I vow it will NOT be years between visits this time!
