Visited Gatlinburg January 2012. Hotel is in a great location on the trolley line. Staff is friendly and helpful, taking time to answer questions. There is an Exxon station next door that serves pizza, burger, sandwiches and breakfast at reasonable prices. An excellent alternative to over priced dining in the resort area. Bed and pillows were so fresh and comfy I slept like a baby. Room was quiet and over looked a stream.
Housekeeping though had forgotton to look at the desk chair and it had crumbs and a candy wrapper on it. Room also smelled like the carpet had been soaked too many times from people dripping water on it after swimming. This problem vanished after the hear was turned on. But I think the hotel should replace the carpeting. These were small problems though and I enjoyed my stay very much. Would return.

Rooms very nice and clean. I used the fitness center and indoor pool/hot tub. Both areas are nice and very clean. Lobby has a fireplace and a nice atmosphere. Not able to walk to the main areas but driving and parking was easy.

When we arrived at the hotel, check in was quick and the front desk staff were very friendly. We went to the room to discover the wheelchair accessable room I had called twice to confirm, and reminded the woman at the check in desk about was not in fact any way wheelchair accessable. No bars, no wide doorways, nothing to indicate that a person in a wheelchair can have any sort of help. I quickly called down to the front desk, and this was resolved. One of the desk employees even met us at the elevator with a new key. The new room was better, but not by much. The tub was so high my mother could not get out of her chair and into it, there was a pull out sofa, but if it was pulled out, the wheelchair could not get through to the restroom. For a hotel this large there was only one elevator. It is located very far from the main stores in town but it was wonderfully quiet in the evenings. The breakfast was ok, nothing special.

Fantastic place to stay. Great location, great rooms, great facility, great staff, really clean, reasonable price. What more could you ask for
