Where do I start.. Walking into the room I was hit by the awful and musty smell, flies buzzing around my head. The lamp shade torn and barely hanging on, the couch cushions torn, and the arm rests so filthy and worn theye were slick, shiny, and BLACK with filth!! Tried to check out after experiencing this and was told to cancel through hotels.com by the front desk clerk. After getting the ok from hotels.com to cancel, the clerk renigs and says she cant canel my reservations cause no supervisor is there. I said call and get the ok from your supervisor but to no avail. Seems that was to difficult for her and she would not do anything to help. Needless to say we left and stayed at the Econo Lodge Riverside. It was very nice. This place is a DUMP, DONT BE FOOLED BY THE PICS ONLINE!!!

We arrived to discover that because we booked online we were limited to view which they were not allowed to upgrade nor change at the booked rate. For an additional $20 per night however we could get what we wanted and there was coincidentally a room available. Surprises did not stop there. We discovered the restaraunt was not open on Monday nor Tuesday. On Wednesday morning we discovered that the breakfast buffet was only open on weekends. The food was not good and it took several trips to the kitchen to get the order right. We also discovered the free high speed internet was only available on two floors of one building, not ours. We were quite startled to discover that the room smoke detector could be set off by steam from the shower. The desk staff was aware of this (it would have been nice had they warned us) but not aware that any alarm had gone off. Their first awareness came when we called to tell them we had no smoke nor fire. We had to remove the battery to shut it off. To be fair, the smoke detector was quickly re-assembled by them but from this spot showers were taken with the patio doors open and there were no more alarms. So that I do not appear to be overly negative, the room was clean, roomy, and comfortable. We really enjoyed the view and sitting on the patio relaxing while feeding the ducks. The hotel was located within walking distance from the downtown area. This hotel could be very nice if they could clean up the other issues.

I booked this hotel through westgate and got a awesome deal for two rooms and water park tickets. After booking I read some reviews on here and was very worried about this hotel and came close to canceling several times. I am so glad I didn't. I am on my trip now and just checked and I can't not say enough about how nice the rooms the hotel and the staff are. We was able to check in early We are in building 7 and the internet connection is fine the rooms are really large and nice and We have a beautiful mountain view. I am so glad I gave this place a chance because I really expected a nightmare but this is the perfect hotel for my family it is cleaned and nicely decorated great location and you can't beat the price. I have found our new family hotel in Gatlinburg

On our stay at the resort we ate in the Gatlingburger Grill several times... ON one nite we ate there we were told by the waitress about a "MEAN" bannan split that she could make for our entire family... we had dinner and ordered the MEAN banna split and when she brought it out it was awesome... My kids had never had one before and that was a great way ti intoduce them to one.... So if you ever stay in Gatlinburg stop by and see Wilda for her MEAN banna split
