We really enjoyed our stay at the Park Vista. The hotel is great, and the staff was excellent! Robbie at the concierge desk was able to set up a great whitewater rafting side trip for us, and we really appreciated that. Loved the pool and the resturants. Nice, clean rooms. The biggest issues we had were with the trolley to and from hotel, which is really a complaint about the city's trolley service and not the hotel. Also, this hotel does not offer free in-room wifi, which was disappointing. Other than, a great experience. Would stay there again, for sure.

Our family was looking for a nice place to get away and relax for a few days and Park Vista delivered.
The grounds and interior are beautiful and well maintained. For such a large hotel, it feels warm and inviting. Overall, our room was clean and comfortable. The kids had a seperate room with bunk beds which they loved! They had their own television so they could play Wii and watch the Disney Channel. They also had their own half bath. My husband and I really appreciated the privacy of our own room and bathroom. We had a gorgeous view of the city below...especially at night with all the lights. Our kids absolutely loved the pool! Having two indoor pools, one with a water slide for small children and another with a larger slide for older children and adults, was great! We took advantage of the pool after breakfast and had it to ourselves much of the time. It was much more crowded in the afternoon/evening. The restaurant was also very nice...good service and friendly staff. The chef makes great omelets! There were only a couple of cons worth mentioning:
*Our shower smelled slightly like mildew even after housekeeping cleaned.
*The air conditioning unit was pretty loud and interrupted our sleep at times.
Overall, we had a very nice stay at Park Vista and will recommend it to our friends and family.

My family stopped here on the way home from Myrtle Beach and we were amazed on how nice the hotel was. The service was excellent and the rooms had some really spectacular views of the mountains. My wife and I are returning to Gatlinburg in September/October and we plan on staying here again! We highly recommend this

It was not a luxury hotel where I expect to pay for internet service but rather a DoubleTree where the internet should be "free". Also, the air conditioning units right outside the windows on the ground on the mountain side (where incidently you pay a higher price for) are very, very loud and we were not able to enjoy the fresh air because of the noise in our room when the sliding glass door was opened. For that matter, even with the doors closed the units could be heard very clearly in the room. By the way, we were on the 10th floor. Also, the carpets in our room were stained and I did not want to walk barefooted on them. The bathrooms are very small and too cubersome to come in and out of. Also, the breakfast buffet was rather bland, and uninspiring. Although the omelette chef did make an all white omelette on request.
