This hotel is in a great location. It is on River Road which run behind the main strip through town. It is a great location because you can walk to shops and restaurants but can use river road to get out when you need to drive. The main road can often time be so crowded you can't move. It is a great location in winter because you can walk to the Ober Gatlinburg and avoid parking fees.
The hotel is clean as I always get at Hilton hotels. My room had a gas fireplace that could be turned on with a timer so I could go to sleep with it on without worry. The room also had a microwave and mini refrigerator.
The kitchen was slow but the food was very good.

Just stayed here for a long weekend and this hotel was very nice.....one of the nicest places we've stayed in Gatlinburg. The room was very clean and updated. Enough space for us to get around and our 3 year old to run around and play. The beds were comfortable although it did seem one bed adjusted softer than the other. The staff we dealt with were very polite and helpful. The gentleman at the front desk even found a small screw driver for me so my son could play with the toy we had just bought for him....very nice! Check in and out took all of 3 minutes....the housekeeping was very nice even do we didnt need them to clean our room. The little card they put under the door when we had the privacy sign on was a nice touch!

We did not try the restraunt or room service but we did catch a smell walking through the lobby and it smelt pretty inviting....but there are just too many good spots to eat at in town to eat in the hotel!

Location is off the main strip...which has its positives and negatives. A little more quiet than being on the strip but there wasnt really a quick way to get up to the strip due to the current construction.

Overall we had a very nice stay and will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip!

After two consecutive Spring break trips to the beautiful Mountains of Tennessee, we can truly say "we will not stay any place else but the Hilton Garden Inn Gatlinburg." The hotel is within walking distance to Ripley's Aquarium and many shops, restaurants and attractions in Gatlinburg. However, it is not on the main road but along the River Road stream that flows through Gatlinburg. Service at this hotel is great, rooms and all guest areas were immaculate. Many rooms have balconies which overlook mountainside. Trolley stops right in front of hotel. Don't take a chance on staying anywhere else if you are looking for a full service, clean and peaceful place to stay in the Tennessee Mountains.

Great service...Great room. My wife loved the bed. Room service was really good. Gatlinburg has had a history of poor quality rooms in the past. If you have had this problem I suggest you stay here.

We have found our new spot to stay.
