We were more than pleased with our stay at Baskins Creek over New Year's. The condo was very spacious, quiet, comfortable and had a home-like feel to it. The condo came equipped with a washer/dryer which made it easy to pack lighter for our stay. The condo FELT clean and made for a very comfortable atmosphere. The only issue with the condo was we found mildew in the master bathroom shower upon check-in. We notified the front desk and they immediately sent someone up to re-clean. Things like that happen and it wasn't a problem with us because the staff was very accommodating in getting the issue resolved immediately.

There is a folder in the kitchen which gives very clear information on what is expected for the guests during the stay, including where to take the trash, how many towels are available for guests, etc. It took the guess work out of trying to figure out what we needed to do upon check-out. The towels are sparse…but not a problem since we could wash these each night – and frankly, I was fine with that because I knew my family had clean towels each morning. We didn’t cook, but the kitchen appeared to have everything that would be needed for a guest during a short-term stay – plates, cups, silverware, pots, pans, knives, cooking utensils, etc. We have no complaints about our stay.

The elevator access from the parking area is with room key only which really did give a feeling of a more secure area. The condos are located very near shopping and dining, just a short walk away. When we return back to Gatlinburg; Baskins Creek Condominiums will be our first choice! We would absolutely recommend to anyone!

Around 6 couples have stayed here for about 3 years in November..clean, nice decour, near town and eating and shopping. Friendly, helpful staff. Really love staying there!
GREAT PRICE FOR QUALITY!

Beautifully decorated. 3 hangers (???) in the master bedroom closet . NO potholders in the kitchen or dishcloth OR DISHBRUSH!!!???? Also NO CUTTINGBOARD. Kinda' hard to cook and serve. Also IF noone has thought of it ( a coffee thermos) would be a nice asset ( since I drink decaffe coffee and 2 others in our group drink regular and for some odd reason we all want coffee at the same time......

Now known as the Mountain Vista Luxury Rentals (www.mvlr.com) 4 of us stayed here in June for the "Nail Tech Networking Event of the Smokies" & everything was top notch. I really liked the added security of having to use your condo key to access the elevator, too. I can't think of 1 thing to complain about! We stayed in a top floor 3 BR/3BA condo overlooking downtown Gatlinurg & we had such a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend others try it out. We'll definitely stay here again.

The condos are clean, with modern decor that is in short supply at other condos we've stayed at in town. I know many of these condos were built back in the 80's, but for the love of God they don't have to stay there! Is there a law against remodeling or are the people too cheap to tear down the country blue & mauve flowered border? And get rid of the fake plants, brass fixtures, country knick-knacks, and lace doilies, too! Ooops...sorry to get off track.

One of the best things I like is that you can view each condo online & pick which unit you'd like to stay in. It's a fairly short walk to downtown & if you look for the small sign (as you walk downtown on Cherokee Orchard Rd. it'll be on your left) pointing you to "The Village" you can take this shortcut past all the quaint shops, which will lead you right out onto the Parkway near the Pancake Pantry (THE best pancakes ever)!
