I stayed just one night. I chose Vancouver as a quiet alternative to Portland. Briar Rose is downtown Vancouver with an easy access to the freeway, walking distance to few restaurants, 2 minutes by car to the Officers' Row and Fort Vancouver both worth visiting. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, breakfast was good though not to my taste. The owners pleasant and easy going. The one down side is a train that blows its whistle around maybe 5AM. I did not wear the earplugs thoughtfully provided by the owners and so woke up to it but went back to sleep. Otherwise it is a quiet and comfortable place.

This was our first visit to Vancouver Washington and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting the city. We stayed in the Hearth Room for 2 nights and found the room very cosy and nicely decorated. The bed was large and comfortable. We were attracted by the French decor of the home as we are fellow Francophiles and we had some very interesting and informative discussions with the hosts about each others travels in France. Sally was very informative as to recommendations for dining and Tom cooked up some great breakfasts for us. We would certainly stay here again another time.

We stayed here while visiting our son and his wife in Portland. Ted would always ask us "how are the kids?" He even invited them for breakfast on our last day is town. We just thought he and Sally were such nice people. They take great pride in their home they have restored.

I search the web and decided to book this B&B from the photos and comments. Innkeepers Sally & Tom were friendly & cheerful and made our stay enjoyable. This lovely, relaxing B&B was immaculate & comfortable. A quaint, colorful floral garden surrounds the inn featuring a variety of flowers and highlighted with roses galore. We stayed 2 nights in the French Room w/private bath. Breakfast was gourmet, scrumptious & delicious. This B&B is a gem and we loved it!
