We stayed here on our way to Florida for a family summer vacation. It was just what we were looking for--a comfortable, reasonably priced accommodation that would allow us to get rested up for the final part of our ride to Florida. We will likely try this place out again the next time we're traveling south.

My husband, 2 daughters and I were driving to Florida and decided to stop because we were all crazy from being in the car all day. I searched multiple hotels and found the Hampton Inns gateway Savannah. Great hotel staff, quick check-in, friendly staff, incredibly clean and right off the highway. I would highly recommend!

I changed our reservation from another location to this one because it was (a)closer to Florida (from Virginia) and (b) had a pool and "whirlpool". However, upon arrival, the pool turned out to be oddly L-shaped, and only about 8 feet wide, and the hot tub/jacuzzi/whirlpool (whatever) was lukewarm and the wimpy jets were located just so when you lean back the water spritzes right up over the back of your head--it makes you laugh, but that's about all it's good for. Otherwise, Hamptons are pretty generic, nice sheets, good tv, hot breakfast, but the pool area was definitely a disappointment after hours of driving. Also on the final bill the AAA discount had been left off so I had to have the desk clerk redo it.

One of the best Hampton Inns I have ever been to. The staff was friendly and outgoing and our room was clean and the beds are great! We will continue to pay the little extra to stay here over other hotels in the area!
