I'll start this review by saying that this hotel is a very nice facility. It's clean, in a good location and has a nice little bar in the lobby that would be cool even if it was stand alone. Even though this hotel is kind of in one of the corners of the district, its a very short walk to most of the more popular attractions Savannah has to offer. The reason that I gave this hotel only an average rating is because of the staff. It seemed as if they were overwhelmed any time I interacted with them. Whether it was a billing issues, routine requests or the simple act of checking out, everything seemed to give the staff problems. Because this is only a personnel issue, I think this hotel is easily worthy of 4 or even 5 stars, but I'll give 3 for poor service.

It was my first visit to Savannah and this was the perfect choice. The valet, front desk, and breakfast staff personified Southern charm! Our room was on the 7th floor and had an awesome view of the river. We could walk to everywhere we wanted to go! The Irish gentleman that works at night was very friendly & helpful in finding nighttime entertainment. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I wanted to stay somewhere close to River Street and the ferry access to the convention center. The Holiday Inn Express in the historic district was in the perfect location. I could walk to everything I wanted to go to while I was in Savannah. The room was nice, very comfortable beds. I chose a balcony view so I could see the river and I was not disappointed with the view. The breakfast was a little better than the typical hotel continental, even had eggs and sausage. Good coffee! I wish they had had more luggage carts. I was not able to use one at my arrival or my departure. Valet parking is $15 a day, or you can park your car yourself in the same lot for $10 a day.

The hotel is in the best location. The rooms are nice and the staff is very accommodating. The breakfast is quite good with lots of variety. I would definitely stay there again.
