“A good place to stay.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

Last year, on our way south for the winter, we stayed at a Springhill Suites in Savannah. We booked this motel,
thinking it was the same property. It wasn't. We booked it online through a 'discount broker'. The Suites we wanted was two exits further south. It has restaurants adjacent to the motel (Houlahan's, Cracker Barrel, etc.).
This Suites is surrounded by many motels. They all appear to be modern and upscale. We didn't notice restaurants close by, so had to drive a few minutes away.
Having said all that, we were not disappointed in this place. It is very comfortable and clean. Front desk staff were helpful and professional.
We went for the offered breakfast, which was not exceptional. The usual offerings. My notes from the previous year at the other Suites indicated a much better breakfast.
Next year we will stay there.

Room Tip: Rear entrance can be handy for some floors.

“Easy stop comfortable room”

The hotel is an easy stop off I-95 when traveling. Our suite was well designed and served our family of 5 well. The bed area is separated from the sitting area by a partial wall that gives a perception of different rooms.

The breakfast was good and diverse. The serving area felt crowded with a limited number of patrons but there was enough room to eat and relax during the meal.

The pool and fitness area seemed nice but were not used by us.

Parking is shared by the other hotels nearby so if you need a spot close to the front door arrive before 20:00.

“Clean, Affordable, Spacious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

Our overnight stay at SpringHill Suites Svannah Airport was before a morning flight. Although we used it basically as a place to sleep and leave the car while away, the hotel room was spacious enough that we'd be happy there for a longer stay. The front desk was friendly and efficient, and the room was clean and in great condition. The standard bathroom was sufficient for our needs and was stocked with the necessities. The hotel also offered free internet and free breakfast. Leaving our car there and using the free shuttle (hotel is maybe one mile from the airport) was great ... and the shuttle driver helped with our bags.
The restaurant is walking distance to a Waffle House, Wendy's, convenience stores and Sam Snead Grill. A short drive away are Ruby Tuesday, Chick-Fil-A, Arby's, Zaxby's, Sonic, WalMart, Sam's Club, and a host of other businesses.
We'd definitely stay there again.

“room okay, common areas dirty”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

This is my first stay at this property, and only my second time at a SpringHill Suites. Check in was very quick, friendly and efficient. We made our way up to the room, and I thought the carpets in the corridor were badly in need of cleaning. Not just spot cleaning- they were badly soiled, and had the types of stains you see where someone drags a leaking garbage bag down the hall. Carpets in the room did not appear stained, but were NOT well vacuumed.

Everything else in the room appeared clean- no off smells or odd stains. The beds were VERY comfortable, and there were pillows in varying degrees of firmness, so we were ALL happy. I thought the room was smaller than the last SHS we stayed at, especially the bathroom. It was tiny. The sink was outside the bathroom, and that is a big help. There was also a sink/wetbar area with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker.

There were no outlets in the room convenient to the bed- I like to sit up in bed and surf the internet, and the only outlets convenient to the bed were fully occupied. I would have had to unplug either the lamp or the clock toplug in.

The pool area was clean with plenty of towels. The pool water was not as warm as it could have been, but it was still tollerable. The spa was way too cool for a hot tub. I know that they usually recommend a temperature no higher than 104 degrees, bit this did not feel even much warmer than body temperature, if at all... There were some balls floating it the pool that my kids loved playing with, and the pool towels were not your typical pool towels- these were fluffy, in excellent repair, and just much nicer than I am used to seeing at pool side.

Breakfast in the morning was adequate. Eggs, sausage, waffles, and standard continental fare. The breakfast attendant, Phillip, and an assistant, were quite efficient at keeping everything tidy and stocked on a busy holiday weekend. Like the carpets in the corridor, the carpet in the breakfast area was also pretty nasty.

Given the fact that there are many many hotels within a two block radius of this property, I would probably check out another one next time just because of the dirty carpets and the cold pool/hot tub. With so many to choose from, why settle?
