“Even for a budget hotel, not worth the money”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 March 2011

The guest service was not customer friendly and the building had an odor of mold and musty. How can you be a traveler hotel and have no business center or at least a computer with printing options available for guest? The continental breakfast was sub-par at best and the breakfast area was dirty. Chose to not eat anything, due to fear of getting sick from it. Wallpaper and trim peeling and entire interior of building needed a deep cleaning and/or painting.

“dirty bathroom/linens, bed bugs. checked out early. don't stay here.”

checked in went well. desk guy was nice. went up to room and there was a strong odor in the room. turned on the fan/blower in the room, thinking it was just from room being closed up. went out to sight see. when came back strong odor was still there. with a slight grumble desk clerk got us another room. there was still a smell in this room, but it was getting late. went into bathroom and tub was dirty. only provided soap, no shampoo. bathroom linens were dirty. we opted not to shower and tried to make the best of it. my husband awoke shortly after going to bed with small bites all over his forearm. we packed our stuff and checked out early. when we requested a refund from the gentleman at the front desk we were told he was not authorized to give refunds on rooms he did not check in. regardless of how great the rates are DO NOT STAY HERE.

“Trying to be nice about it”

We checked in around 3 or 4 in the morning on Labor Day weekend. This was the only hotel around that had any rooms. The Desk clerk that check me in was very friendly but other then that the hotel "SUCKED". Our room was NEVER clean, we had no clean towels to use when we came back from the beach the next day. I when down to the desk to ask about towels and the young lady told me that I would have to wait until Monday whn they get clean towels. I when down on a Saturday night asking for these towels. I asked why our room was not clean, I was told that the maid was busy cleaning other rooms. I am a small business owner when I have friends and family come into town here in Atlanta I would tell them to stay at one of your suites close to me.
I never checked out of a hotel so fast in my life, the night staff was very rude and the GM Ray Patel which I have called over 20mins and NEVER once recieve a call back from is very unprofessional. I have left message with many of his staff members. It all comes down to this they need to close this hotel and use it as a parking lot, hell the parking lot was much cleaner then my bathroom. Which I had to clean before I was able to use it. First time I have ever had something bad to say about a hotel and I use to work in hotels for more then 15 years. I more then understand that you get what you pay for but this is down right NASTY"

“Yucky, not handicap friendly, nasty, sullen staff, rude management.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2010

Staff was on cell phone the entire time I was trying to check in and get service. Charged for two beds as I am handicapped and all accessible rooms at at least two beds. Rate on the sign was not honored. No one told me there was handicapped parking on the opposite side of the building not visible from the front of the hotel, and at the end of a long hall from the room. No towels in bathroom at all; no remote control for TV. Continental breakfast was coffee, stale mini muffins and cereal. Will not stay here again. Had tried it several times but it just got worse. Management was rude and abrupt. Customer service is not practiced here.

“Don't Stay in This Microtel Inn Location”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2010

On Dec. 2, 2009 my husband, my parents and I were travelling from Ohio to Florida in pouring rain and pulling a U-Haul trailer. After 14 hours of driving and following each other, I chose to pull of on an exit that said there was a Microtel Inn. The address of this hotel was 45 Fort Argyle Rd., Savannah, GA. We were all so exhausted and stressed out, we checked into 2 rooms. When we went into the side door to use the stairs (because no one informed us of an elevator), we immediately noticed a pungeunt odor of cheap air freshner. We each went into our rooms and I immediately noticed the odor or cat urine when the a/c was turned on in my parents room. Since my mother has a permanent trachea for life and a lung disease, I said are you sure you want to stay in this room? My parents are christians and don't like to complain, so they accepted it. When I went to my room, I did not notice the odor, but when my exhausted husband turned back the bed, there were long black hairs on the sheets!! I called the front desk and request new sheets but they said I would have to change rooms due to Housekeeping being off duty. So, we changed rooms. The bathroom was dirty, there was no clock/alarm (there was in the other rooms eventhough the front desk said they don't provide them). When i did turn on our a/c we got the same cat urine odor mixed with a sickening cheap air deodorizer! the next day my mother informed me when she moved the pillows in the window seat area before going to bed, there was BLACK MOLD running all the way down the wall!!!....just what someone needs with a lung disease. I wrote emails to headquarters about our rooms. Long story short, they offered me 50% refund and my parents $15 refund.....Figure that one out. I will NEVER stay there again.
