Everything was perfect! When we arrived, Diane went over a map with us and helped identify places of interest, restaurants etc. The room was gorgeous (we stayed in the Sabel Palm Room). Breakfast every morning was delicious. Location was wonderful-centrally located within walking distance to just about everything. There were always snacks, drinks etc available. It really made the trip much more memorable then just staying in a traditional hotel. We would definitely go back!

We arrived at night after a long flight from Seattle. Our hostess met us with some wine in the living room. She answered all our questions about what to do and how to get there. Our room was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. She even made me my hot chocolate, since I don't drink coffee. We had cold bottles of water in our room. These were needed because of the weather here in August. There were snacks, etc all day long in the dining room. We loved the city. This was a quiet neighborhood. Most places were easy walking distances. I rented a car the second day and she allowed me to park there. I would recommend this B and B.

Room tip: only four rooms. ours was the smallest, but it was fine.

I chose this B&B because of the TA reviews and its proximity to the Marriott where my husband had a conference to attend. What a find! Diane was wonderful from the time of booking to our departure. The cottage is homey and comfortable and is an easy walk to the Savannah attractions.

We stayed in the Sago Palm Suite which was very nice. The bed was comfortable and it was pretty quiet despite the B&B's proximity to Broad St. The bathroom is well-equipped but is on the small side and the shower will probably feel cramped if you're generously-sized. The multi-jetted shower could perhaps be nice, but given my petite size it just sprayed directly to my face!

Don't come here if you don't want to gain weight. The breakfasts were so good and there was a lot of food every morning. Our first morning Diane served her banana french toast and it was so yummy I had to eat all of it. She served fruit with every breakfast and on our last day there was even a smoothie as an "appetizer". I think I had my entire daily caloric allowance with Diane's delectable breakfasts. Then there's the wine and hors d'ouvres in the evening.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we go back to Savannah. Highly recommended!

We were visiting Savannah to visit the historic distric area and to see some of the amazing older homes there. We didn't want to stay at a traditional hotel and opted to enjoy some southern living in one of the historic district's bed and breakfasts. The Green Palm Inn was a perfect fit for what we wanted for our three day stay in the city. It is located on the edge of the historic district, an easy 10 - 20 minute walk or less (depending on how fast you are and how many stops you make along the way) to the riverfront, the City Market and other historic areas. It looks small on the outside, but has plenty of room in the inside with a nice up front sitting room for relaxing and reading the morning paper. We stayed in the Royal Palm room which was quite large and had plenty of closet space. It also had a Jacuzzi type tub which helped sooth our muscles after a day of walking around the city. The owner, Diane, was a very gracious host. She helped out with sight seeing plans and suggested several restaurants, one of which we did try that was excellent. You get a nice warm bed staying here, but the breakfasts were superb. Diane would serve up some fresh fruit, maybe a stuffed french toast, sausage and more to start your day. She also had some wine and snacks set out in the late afternoon. We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend the Green Palm Inn to you.

Room tip: Green Palm Room has a soothing Jacuzzie type bathtub and large poster bed

We consider ourselves very fortunate to have stayed for three nights at The Green Palm Inn. Diane and her staff could not have been more welcoming or more helpful. Our room was so serene ,comfortable, well appointed and very clean! Breakfast was more than ample and always delicious. You will need to stroll the beautiful Savannah squares after eating such wonderful food! We walked most of the squares, enjoyed the town center, strolled River Street, visited shops, restaurants and museums, all without moving our car! It was lovely to return to the Inn for a little peace and quiet before going to dinner. If you work up an appetite walking about the city, the 4-6 pm happy hour will tempt you with lovely sweets and savories, as well as wine and other beverages. Diane had many helpful suggestions to help us during our stay. We eagerly look forward to our next visit to The Green Palm Inn.

Room tip: The Sabal Palm room was very comfortable!
