“Good place to go if you have a dog”

We enjoyed our short stay at this Inn. It is well located, right on the harbour. We were able to enjoy the fireworks without going outside of our room. The room was quite large with kitchenette and place to sit. Parking is close and inexpensive. Our room allowed us quick and convenient access to outside making it very convenient for taking the dog out. There is a wine and cheese get together and a help yourself breakfast, as well as an ice cream bar as an evening treat. The room furnishings were good with the exception of the sofa which sunk in the centre. The only downside for us was that the room was a bit noisy from pedestrians on the street and also squeaky floorboards from the guests upstairs.

“One of the finest hotels ever”

We were delighted by the Olde Harbor Inn in Savannah. Its in a great location and the old building is just charming. Everything was above average from the room decor to the morning breakfast. The afternoon wine and cheese event was great and the friendly atmosphere turned it into a wonderful social gathering where we made many new friends. Highly recommended!!

“Friendly staff and great location.”

We stayed in a 2nd floor suite (room 301) with a limited view of the river. Furnishings were good with the exception of the bed, which was way too soft and sunk in the middle.

We enjoyed the afternoon wine and cheese sessions which gave us a chance to discuss a variety of topics with the other guests. We were able to meet other vacationers from all over the midwest.

Parking is provided near your room, but space is limited. The parking pass issued allows you to park free in metered spaces all over Savanna.

Every night one of the staff turns down the bed and then puts a couple of Klondike ice cream bars in your freezer - nice touch. The kitchen is minus a stove, but does have a microwave.

It was very foggy every morning of our stay, and the early morning ships on the river made full use of their exceptionally loud fog horns. A light sleeper would probably be woken up.

Room Tip: If you "like" ghosts, ask for the room occupied by Hank.

“Best B&B experience ever.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

A bit pricey, but so worth the experience. Service was beyond great and an exceptionally helpful bellhop named Tevon made our stay special. Including delivering a complimentary Klondyke bar to our room at 8PM. And the rooms were beautifully decorated and comfy. Loved it!

“Great location”

Location: great, as it sits right on the harbour but far enough away from action that makes it nice.
Room: stayed in 402, had plenty of room with living space, dining room and kitchenette. Balcony was a plus.
Bed: a little uncomfortable and squeaky! Can be a tough place for light sleepers, as the ship horns go off quite frequently at night time.
Staff: very nice and helpful. (May want to bring some tip money, they aren't pushy about it but its suggested multiple times).
Breakfast: Eh...its ok. It's been noted multiple times about them not having eggs. Meant to ask why, but forgot to. Sure there its some sort of financial reason, but come on....sausage, bacon and biscuits but no eggs? weird. They have other odds and ends (bread, bagel, cereal, yogurt). Coffee needs some work, not the best.
