Compared to other motels/hotels/rooms in the Jacksonville, FL area, this place has made a lot of great strides in the past year, rooms are better and cleaner, although plumbing is still in need of repair and the motel still needs a huge face-lift. English-speaking staff is very helpful(especially Chris in maintenance, very overworked)and Crystal(who works the front desk), just a huge help if something goes wrong. Some of the housekeeping staff does not speak English(Hindi only), and it hurts business somewhat

Parking lot was recently re-paved and swimming pool was opened last summer and should be open again this year, although drunk, immature adults spoil the fun for others who want to use the pool but throw debris there, pool was almost taken out and made into a patio, and old plumbing makes for a cold shower. Laundry is available, owner has no control over them.

Police are here mostly for drunks who disturb the peace, and owner still makes time and energy to make this place livable, and is a minority owner, although new laws working their way through Tallahassee might change the way he does business, and yes there are a few long-term residents here who have been here and consider this place a permanent home.

This was the most unreal experience. I had booked the rooms a few weeks in advance. My friends and I are college students that were in town for the FL/GA game. We had to settle for a cheap hotel because most of the hotels in the area were full. I booked the only nonsmoking rooms in the city. What a joke. I was worried about a nonsmoking room and I end up in a crack house. We pulled up and could not believe our eyes. There were residents of the hotel (drug dealers and prostitutes) soliciting us for "a ride to the bank" before we even checked in. We had heard from some other people that were leaving that Regency had moved out all of the resident crack addicts for the game weekend. So they were left lurking around the building. We had no other option but to check in. We went up to the room and could not believe the condition it was in. There were stains all over the sheets and carpets. The bathroom was horrid. We decided we would order a pizza till we figured out where to stay for the night. We called multiple take out restaurants and they said they would not deliver to such a dangerous hotel because of being robbed too many times in the past.. Needless to say we were out of there as soon as possible. Some of my friends stayed one of the nights but I refused. They said it was a terrible frightening scenario. We laugh about the absurdity of it all now. There was a piece of paper taped to the front door of the hotel that said "mirror for sale $5" and it was also on the marque outside of the hotel. HAHA! unbelievable! As college students we don't have high expectations but I couldn't have even imagined something this unbearable.

This is the worse hotel I ever lived at. I made my reservation ahead of time and confirmed it before my trip but when I arrived my name was not on the computer. I arrived at 12 midnight and I was put in a room that was not clean. Trashs and used pads (women periods) were on the floor and behind the TV. Fear of being very late at night, I did not have another place to go and did not know the area, I took out my own linens and cover the bed, then clean the room so I can rest. Every morning cleaners knocked on the doors so loud until guest open up. They had to come in and check everybody if there is an extra person in the room. The service was so terrible and mean. I took this matter to the front desk, but I was told that the cleaning men always knock on the doors until it opens. Rooms and bed spread were dirty and torn up. A true hole on the wall kind of place. The next morning, I rented a car and look for an apartment right away. I paid for one week but only stayed there for 2 nights. I just could not stand it anymore. They do not refunded any money. This Hotel is attached to a strip bar and a lot of drug activities. I will never recommend this Hotel to anyone. This Hotel is more like a very dirty old motel and needed to remodel or close down. If you are planning to visit Jacksonville, stay at the Hotels by the airport or new developments at the south side. Stay away from Arlington and Downtown. I always and still have high respect for my friends from Iran but the Iran people that run or maybe own this hotel, really give Iran Americans a bad name. 99% of employees are Iran men. The same people that knocked on the doors every morning to investigate guests. If you are planning to sleep in, forget about it. It will never happen. They are rude, scary and dirty people. They will never live your door until you open up and they rushed in without your permission. Stay away and alert others before they are suck in by this low class Hotel. This Hotel is a (-0) rate. The lowest rating number on this site is one, but this hotel is way below 1. (-0).

Do not stay here! Our first give away was the bullet proof glass that
the receptionist was behind. While waiting to check into our room, a man came into the lobby stating that “there are people living in his room”. Another man came in with soiled sweatpants, and seemed to be mentally ill or on something strong. We were given our room key. As we drove to the back, we could tell that people were living at the hotel. Grills and satellite systems on patios. We didn’t even make it to our room, for we feared for our safety (two 26 year old girls). As we walked to our room down a dark hallway with trash and leaves all over the floor we decided that it would be safer for us to stay in our car in a nicer part of town. This hotel seemed like it was full of pimps and crack heads. There was no problem getting our money back. I think they are use to it. We drove about 7 miles away and found a beautiful hotel for almost the same amount of money. Find another hotel in Jacksonville. DO NOT STAY HERE!
