Can't be much closer to the ocean, listening to the waves as you sleep. Price is right, clean rooms with great parking. Only real flaw, new carpeting is needed. When booking request the quiet side or next time we would preferably book the rooms right on the boardwalk, worth the extra money. Great location for a lot less cost.

Our family stayed here for 5 nights in January of 2012. This hotel is right on the waterfront. It includes: a heated pool and hot tub (nice to warm up in after playing in the ocean), a complimentary breakfast (you can eat in, on the patio or take it up to your room), has a laundry room (only 2 washers and two dryers with no folding table or area), has lots of under ground parking (for $10 per day), rooms that are spacious but a little dated, the bathrooms are a good size with both a bath tub and shower (a dry line is in the bath area to hang wet towels or swimsuits), but they're a little tired looking too, the front desk and cleaning staff were very friendly. I can't say enough about the front desk. There wasn't a question they didn't try to answer and they always had a smile on their faces and never once didn't ask how our stay was. We felt completely welcome! My only complaint was that we happened to be here on a night where there was a football game between San Diego and some where ?? and the college kids were a little loud when they came back to the hotel after watching the game at nearby bars. That said, if the room were a little more insulated it would have been a non issue because all 4 of our other nights were quiet. We'll be back to stay here on our trip back to San Diego next winter for sure!

Stayed 3 nites in Jan.2012, Booked 3 rooms.Rooms need new carpeting and baseboard trim.The property is clean and the underground parking is great.Seem to be consistant homeless people,but did not seem to be concerning issue for safety.For quiet sleep do not book room near Fire House Bar. Breakfast is good,could change it up every day or so. Front desk is helpful.

Booked 2 rooms, 4 nights, with another couple. Love this place!! Close to everything, super friendly staff. Breakfast is good, but agree a change every other day would be nice. This is 2nd time back, and will definitely be back soon. Breakfast & wifi included, $10 parking. Seems they are always doing maintenance, painting, etc., which shows they care. Sunsets are beautiful as well as the ocean view.
