“Fabulous Spa”

We booked a day spa experience at this fabulous resort. From the minute you drive up it is hard to believe your are in the middle of a very suburban setting of San Diego. It is a very tranquil beautiful setting minutes away from the hustle and bustle of San Diego. Very posh and plush.European architechture. The Spa is beautifully appointed with marble and travertine throughout. Very nicely decorated changing area and dressing area with all you would need . Nice spa cuisine and teas. The lounge area is beautiful with a firelplace and wonderul luxurious daybeds and chaises. The therapists were top notch. I had a stone massage and it was heaven. The jacuzzi is inside and very spacious. Both wet and dry saunas available. After our treatments we had lunch at the restaurant Amaya which overlooks the pristine golf course. The food was delicious, as well as the service. It is very pricey but worth the luxury. We strolled around the property and it is immaculately kept. Was surprised to stumble on the hotels own church. A must for spa connoissuers. We will be back!

Great property, kind of expensive but still worth a stay.

“Heavenly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

There is nothing quite like it I've ever seen: absolutely stunning.
I was there for a meeting/conference, which was ideal. But I want to go back with my wife.
This is truly an oasis of peace and quiet.

“Heaven!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

Stayed for just four nights during the summer... We could have stayed for ever! Cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. The rooms are excellent. Spacious, well furnished and extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are enormous, with walk in showers and huge baths. There are two pools, tennis courts and an amazing golf course, Tom Fazio designed. A divine spa as well.
The food was excellent and decent room service too. The hotel has a special restaurant in the grounds called Addison, in addition to the ones in the main building. Addison is certainly worth a visit during your stay. They have a seven course tasting menu with wine pairing as well as a soft drink pairing - wonderful fruit juices specially mixed for each of the different courses. The food was divine. We stayed in for hours.
The rooms were very reasonably priced. However, just one complaint, breakfasts were eye wateringly expensive. It was something ridiculous like $12 for a bread roll. I think one morning we were charged something absurd like $60 for a basket of bread, two coffees and two orange juices. In the event that a bed and breakfast deal is on offer, take it!

Room Tip: All the rooms are great. But if there's a bed and breakfast deal on offer, take it... A la cart...
