“Definitely Recommend This Hotel”

I had a great experience at this hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly - really made my stay. Check-in was speedy, my room was ready early, and the hotel was very clean. Updated, nice bathroom and comfy beds. Would have liked a refrigerator in the room, and I had some difficulty with the internet. Restaurant was good and served generous portions. Location was perfect because I was close to restaurants and shopping, as well as the convention center.

On your next visit our knowledgeable concierge and staff would love to make recommendations to ensure you experience all that San Diego has to offer. We encourage you to visit us again, especially during baseball season, since Altitude offers an exciting atmosphere during games that is impossible to find anywhere else!

“Comfortable rooms, excellent location, super staff and a fantastic overall stay at the Marriot Gaslamp.”

We stayed for several days/nights and from the time we arrived until we checked out we had a wonderful stay. The staff is super friendly, the room is clean and comfortable, the location was unbeatable. Petco park and the shops of the Gaslamp are right there!! Truly one of the best vacations we have been on. Loved it!

“Location is every thing”

Great location near everything. Convention Center, ballpark and lots of resteraunts. Roof top bar is an experiance in itself. Want to go back to just relax and watch a game. Short taxi from the airport.

“Recent Stay”

The hotel fit my needs very well. However checking in was slow. Had to wait three hours to get my room. Also the workout room was adequate. Carpeted floor and not enough cardio equipment. The rooms are comfortable and the staff friendly and attentive.

Dear Jerry,

Thank you for your review and constructive comments. I apologize that there was a delay in checking you in. I am not sure what time you arrived to our hotel, however we do our very best to ensure all rooms are available by our 4pm check-in time.

Regarding our fitness center. Shortly, we will be completely reinventing our fitness center and relocating it to an entirely different area of the hotel. During this transition, we will be addressing all of our fitness center amenities and changing what is required.

Once again, I apologize for the slow check-in process. I hope we have an opportunity to welcome you back, and perhaps our new fitness center will be ready when you get here.
