I title the review "Good Gaslamp Location" because it is close enough to walk to the Gaslamp District but far enough way to not hear any of the noise from the revelers.
We stayed three nights at the beginning of February and enjoyed the hotel stay. The staff always had a hello or welcome back for you and always asked if they could help us out with direction or restaurant suggestions. Usually the suggestion was followed with a discount card for a drink or appetizer at the particular restaurant.
We went out for our breakfasts most days as we wanted to try something different each day but the one day we had breakfast in the hotel we felt that the food was good and the value was also good.
There is a nice outdoor patio on the ninth floor that you can get a drink at while enjoying the city view.
Only problem we had was the coffee machine in the room would not work. Mentioned it to the desk and they said it would be changed. Next morning machine still did not work. Don't know what happened there. We mentioned it again at our check out so hopefully the next guest will be able to make a coffee on their first morning.
Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

wow. we stayed at the hotel indigo in san diego and absolutely loved it! you can't beat the location. you walk out the lobbys' front door, look to your left, and you're practically staring at petco park. the hotel is easily within walking distance of so many great places in the gaslamp district. and if you have a car, it's only a 5 minute drive onto the island of coronado (please make sure you go to the brunch at hotel del coronado!). the hotel room we had was really nice, with a REALLY comfortable bed. we had a beautiful walk-in shower complete with a teak seat. the hotel has all the amenities you would expect and they go out of their way to please you. i highly suggest this place if you're staying in the gaslamp district.

I don't usually write reviews that are too positive but I was so delighted with my stay at the Indigo hotel I thought that this would be a way to repay the great service I received from their staff. The hotel is super clean (rooms and lobby) and the staff is very friendly (checking in and out with a smile). We never visited the bar upstairs but the one in the lobby was friendly and the food was pretty good. The hotel is located close to all the action, so, there is a lot to do (try the Knotty Barrel down the street for a great beer). I wish I had some complaints but between the girls who checked us out to Darren's funny accent (I think Scottish) I had a great stay. The next time I roll into San Diego I will definitely stay at the Indigo.

This is a really nice hotel located a few blocks from the Gaslight District. It is sophisticated and well furnished. The staff are great and there is a good bar terrace on the ninth floor.

I had few complaints. The valet parking is now $38 per night and it is in a rather 'seedy' area - check out the Heritage Hotel next door! Although not a criticism, it is a large hotel and does not have the intimate ambiance of other Indigos I have stayed in.

We spent our evenings eating and drinking in the Gaslight District where there is lots of choice at all prices, although if you want to get into the top restaurants you will need to book on Friday and Saturday nights.

We liked this hotel and will stay again when next in town.
