This is not your average hotel, in fact it’s not a hotel but part of the Marriot Vacation Club properties (timeshare) and one of their only urban locations. The rooms are actually 1 bedroom villas with a bedroom and separate living room/kitchenette. It’s great for when you want more room than a typical hotel room with the living room and kitchenette (small fridge, microwave, bar sink and misc kitchen items – blender, toaster, dishes and silverware). Rooms are nicely appointed and the building is so unique and full of history in a perfect location for seeing Boston. Yes is can be a little noisy on weekends as the next block has several busy bars, but it wasn’t too bad but could be an issue on lower floors. The views are great and the higher you go the better. The bed was good but may be a little firm for some and didn’t seem to be the typical Marriott mattress.
It sounds like the villas are all great but we stayed in one of 2 Eagle Suites on the 21st floor and would have to say they were very special due to private the two private balconies. One balcony was fairly large (4’x20’) nestled between two of the Custom House Eagle statues on the side of the building that had an amazing view of the city and a smaller Balcony (2x4) overlooked Faneuil Hall and the North End. Even if you don’t have your own private balconies the open air observation area on the 26th floor has got to be one of the best views of Boston and it has seats/tables to relax and watch the city and harbor.
We will be back and already talking about brining family to visit to this property for a unique Boston experience.
