“Very pleasant stay”

The hotel looks and feels like a hip youth hostel. The rooms are not fancy/glamorous but rather comfy.
I loved it. In the hotel has a martini bar as well. The bar was well attended. I could not hear the noise of the bar in my room!
One big downside though is that the elevator to the rooms is accessible by everybody, not just hotel guests. I would have preferred an hotel-guest-only elevator key...or some kind of higher security system. Same for the stairways.
After checking out from the hotel, there was the possibility to leave the luggage with the hotel. The luggages are locked with a rope so that they cannot be stolen but are accessible by everybody - so make sure you lock you luggage since people could go and open your zippers. I didn't trust the storage enough, so I only left my luggage but took my laptop and all other electronic devices with me. This was quite inconvenient.
In overall, I loved my stay and would stay there again. Though I would not bring any valuables along.

“Small but just what you need for a weekend break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

My wife and i stayed here 3 nights, lovely hotel, clean and lovely staff- hotel is in walking distance of many areas, with Boston common 10 minute walk, good also if your going shopping, which we did, and also good for the underground, got from airpost to the hotel in 45 mins, with no problems, and 2 min walk ftom underground. would recommend for couples, but rooms are small, but not a problem, bathrooms very clean, and one of the best showers i have had in a hotel- overall a great place, and would stay again if viting boston again -

“wonderful weekend getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

my boyfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at this hotel

1. arrived early after a 6am flight, were shown to the breakfast area and told they would try to have our room ready as early as possible, very friendly helpful staff got us in at 11am and gave us maps of the area.
2. wonderful location right across from the library and near lots of attractions, enjoyed the boutique feel of the hotel
3. great price for the room, yes they are tiny, but beautifully decorated and all the amenities you need
4. would highly recommend this hotel, the downside is the breakfast as other reviews have pointed out (very few selections) but they are pleased to point you to other restaurants in the area, and helped us with dinner reservation which was a big bonus!

“Great location, good value, exactly what I was looking for”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Can't beat this location in Boston as it is in walking distance of a lot of great food and bars and the T is nearby. The rooms are on the small side, but the value makes it perfect for a short stay in the city. I would definitely recommend.

“Excellent value in a hip property”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

We stayed here on 2 different occasions and were quite happy both times. The rooms may be small, but the are functionally laid out, modern and clean. Nice amenities that gives an air of sophistication throughout. There is no lobby per se, the downstairs is all but taken up by the nice bar, which is used for the cold breakfast buffet (basic staples as you would expect). Considering the location, design and cleanliness, well worth it for a small hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back are probably quieter. No views.
