“Pleasantly surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I stayed at the Boston Millennium for two nights while in town for job interviews. I was pleasantly surprised by my stay after reading through the reviews on tripadvisor. The location was very convenient from the airport and to the financial district, the lobby was much more modern and well-appointed than the somewhat dated exterior of the hotel, and the doormen and staff at the front counter were friendly.

I was in a spacious superior deluxe room. The step-out balcony was tiny and faced the interior of the hotel, but if I actually stepped out onto the balcony and looked right could easily see Faneuil Hall. At least the balcony had fresh flowers?

There was a separate vanity seating area next to the bathroom, which was very convenient, and the bathroom itself was large with great water pressure. The bed was comfortable and although I could hear some live music from a bar near Faneuil Hall, it didn't go on too late and wasn't a problem. I slept very well.

Also appreciated the complimentary coffee service outside the elevator in the morning.

“great location near Boston's North End”

medium sized hotel 5 minutes walk from Faneuill Hall and Quincy market shops, bars & restaurants. 10 minutes will get you to the city's North End with it's history and geat Italian shops & restaurants.
The hotel has recently been refurbished and has a comfortable lobby and nicely furnished bedrooms. My room only had a shower but it's roomy and powerful The Fitness centre is small and not brilliantly eqipped so at busy imes it's difficult to get on machines.
There is an Aveda spa & salon attached - I had a great massage from a therapist called Autumn - highly recommended for keeping jetlag at bay!

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel have the best views but it's not so quiet especially on Thursda...

“nice location rooms are small”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

The location is great. Very close to the airport and right across from Quincy market. The rooms and buildings lay out in a maze and it can be hard to navigate thru the hotel and find your room. Rooms are small even by Boston standards but clean and updated. There was some sort of drunk domestic issue right in the hall outside my room at 1am when a couple could not find their room- security actually had to remove them- very odd experience and due to that not sure as a woman traveling alone I would stay at this hotel again (for sure not if I am alone!)

Dear TripAdvisor Contributor,

Thank you for your property review and I appreciate you taking time to share your experience with future travelers. As well, our sincere apologies that your stay was interrupted by a disturbance.

In review of the domestic incident from this past weekend, I am pleased that our overnight management and security personnel acted swiftly to alleviate and further issues. As with any reputable hotel, our management team is appropriately trained on handling unruly guest(s) should this type of situation arise.

As you noted, room type and size vary, although each offers a unique view from Boston's Blackstone Block, one of the oldest in North America. This hotel's recent renovation addressed in-room amenities, premier furnishings and a linen package to improve the overall guest experience and I trust that your stay was comfotable.

Please contact my office directly for a future stay, so that I can offer reassurance of your safety and personally select an accommodation.

Again, thank you,

“Awesome hotel. Great location. At the Faneuil Hall.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

Overall, hotel is comfortable, newly-renovated, convenient and very well located. Great value for the price. Rates are not so attractive for budget travelers, though.

Pros:
1. Location. Safe, easy to find and easy access to anywhere downtown Boston. Across the street from the Faneuil Hall Marketplace.
2. Room size and sleep quality. Rooms are big, with a king size bed, comfortable mattress and high thread count sheets. I stayed at the 5th floor and no noise was listened from the streets.
3. Wireless internet. Fast and reliable (including in the rooms).
4. Refrigerator. There is a refrigerator in the room, with drinks and food available for purchase.
5. Hotel amenities. I used the hotel's gym and the one of its various meeting rooms. Great place both to work and/or to work out.
6. North 26 Restaurante and Bar. Great food and breakfast (not complimentary). I did not try room service.
7. Friendly staff. Staff is great, well trained, educated and ready-to-help.

Cons:
1. View. The room have a very large window. However, the view from my room was the backside of the hotel and some of the old harbor-like streets in this area.

I completely recommend this hotel both for business or leisure.

Dear Past Guest,

Thank you for sharing your recent stay at Millennium Bostonian Hotel and our team is appreciative for the recognition of their performance.

Our premier location and historically positioned property offers a variety of guest room views showing the historic sklyine, as well as the European style alleyways which comprise the Blackstone Block of Boston. With this in mind, we will assess implementation of a Room Descriptor which might outline a room view and it's historcial signifigance.

We value your response and look forward to a future visit to Boston, so that I might select a premier view of Bostons' Landamks on your behalf.

Again, thank you,

“Our stay at the Boston Millennium”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

My husband and I completely enjoyed our stay at the Millennium. The location was awesome, right in the heart of Boston. Our room had a beautiful view of the city, and was very clean and comfortable. The atmosphere in the lobby was inviting, and beautiful. Very pretty with the fire going in the fireplace. We've had both dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaraunt, and the food was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Dear Recent Guest,

Truly, what is more inviting than a fireplace during a winter month in New Enlgand? Our lobby was designed to create that instantaneous feeling of home and certainly the flicker and warmth of a fire is an attractor.

We appreciate your comments related to North 26 Restaurant, and on a future visit I would love the opportunity to share a glass of wine from our extensive global list.

Please let me know of your future travel plans so that I might mark my calendar,

Gratefully,

Robert Rivers
