“Relax at the Eliot Hotel, Boston”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Convenient to fashionable Newbury Street, Museum of Fine Arts, Symphony Hall and many Universities & area Colleges. A great spot as most of the rooms are suite-like with separate sitting areas, wet bars and updated bathrooms. Small, intimate with opportunities for fine dining in the hotel and nearby. Walk everywhere and come back to a delightful sanctuary.

“Very accommodating, top notch customer service.”

Had to stay for my wife's work with our newborn. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean, comfortable and had an old world charm not seen in more modern buildings. Unfortunately, Clio (great restaurant) was closed for renovations during our stay, but I lived in Boston for years and my friend who lives there now had plenty of dinner recommendations. I highly recommend this place, not only for the pleasant staff but also for its handy Back Bay location and lovely rooms.

“Charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

Our son had an audition at Berklee College of Music. The Eliot Hotel was perfectly located and was extremely charming. The Concierge made our dinner reservations and we took advantage of an upgrade to a 2-room suite with a view of Commonwealth Avenue. We loved the hotel and recommend it if you want something other than a generic chain hotel.

Room Tip: We had a corner 2-room suite with a view of Commonwealth Avenue and Mass Ave. It was offered on th...

“Excellent Hotel in a great location”

We really enjoyed our 5 night stay at the Eliot. This is a small hotel with fantastic customer service that is responsive, helpful and friendly. Top notch customer service attitude from everyone I talked to, which is so refreshing. The decor has a luxurious feel using high quality items yet it comes together in a relaxing way. When we left this hotel, my husband and I were saying, "This is the type of hotel we would love to stay in for all our trips." Yeah, we travel a lot around Asia, Europe and U.S.

Regarding the location: we lived in Boston before so we know The Eliot offers a great location in Back Bay. We like having the T (subway) one block away, Newbury Street with tons of restaurants around the corner, Fenway close by, Hynes Convention Center 3 blocks away and the river three short blocks away.

“Fabulous boutique hotel, great Boston location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

A friend and I were invited to a big party in Boston and felt it prudent not to drive home even though it is only 30 miles so we decided to stay in Boston and we chose the Eliot. It was a splendid idea! We were greet warmly by the staff, the valets wisked our cars away and we went in to the lively bar for a drink. The bartender was fabulous, had all kinds of specialty drinks and after asking each of us what sort of flavors and drinks we liked, he made us each a terrific cocktail. We each loved our rooms, great size, very comfortable beds, lovely linens and great size bathrooms with lovely amenities.
We each had room service for breakfast and it was delicious, delivered promptly, with linens and china.
They told us when we checked in it could take at leat a half hour to get our cars from the valet and we didn't pay attention so, my only advice would be to remember to call in plenty of time before you need your car. This is not a complaint, we were informed at check in; it's just a tip.
Fabulous stay, vgreat people, fun bar and the dining room elegant. Can't wait to go back!
