Rooms were clean and the service was incredible. Breakfast area is a little tight when there are so many people needing tables. May suggest having water available at the breakfast buffet. Overall great stay. Thank you, Hannah!

We had spent the previous night in Cortez, CO at the horrific chain motel in town (read other reviews). We called and made a reservation for a first floor room at the Quality Inn and were assured we would have a first floor room.
Well...when we checked in we got "we're sorry, we don't have any first floor rooms available this evening." Not what we wanted to hear.
The manager, Alan, came to the rescue. He calmed us down (yes, we were irrate after having this happen TWO nights in a row - at different properties), and after he got us checked in, he offered to carry our bags up to our room. And in the morning, he arranged to have our bags brought downstairs as well.
Now, not to sound like a total pain in the butt, we were on the last few days of a 16-day motorcycle road trip. We specifically ask for a first floor room when we travel via motorcycle as we are generally in a new spot each night, and carrying bags and personal belongings that weigh upwards of 60 - 70 pounds up and down stairs each night gets to be a bit much after a long day's riding. To compound matters, my boyfriend had a mishap on his bike and as a result had bruised some ribs, so you can imagine the pain and discomfort of carrying said luggage.
Back to the positive review...the room was great, huge bed, nice TV (to unwind), large bathroom with separate vanity area. Great room! The complimentary breakfast in the morning was superb! We arrived around 8:00 p.m., so we didn't have time to check out the Inn as we would have liked, but what we did see, we enjoyed.
If ever we stay in Gunnison again on our travels, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
We had a clean, quiet room. The breakfast included hot selections, and was much above average for a free american 'continental' breakfast. Note to warm blooded folk: It got to -26F the night we stayed in late Dec, much colder than Monarch ski resort & Salida where we headed the next day, so be sure to check that your vehicle fluids are ready for extreme cold if you stay in the winter!
Driving through Gunnison, we were depressed by the motel options; the Quality Inn looked better than the others. I'm very glad we stayed there. The room was big, and the jacuzzi was a hoot. We received an AAA rate; I don't know why this property isn't listed in the AAA tour book.
Not recently remodeled-would have to walk outside a ways in order to go to pool, etc.
