I am retired and have asthma. This was the worse hotel we stayed at on our 9 hotel trip. Dust and dirt all over the room. I was afraid to put on the air. The unit was caked with dust. I reported this to the front desk. There was only one girl running the hotel. She was checking people in, answering the phones, and folding sheets & towels all at the same time. She told me she will come up and clean the air unit and was very sorry. When she was able to get away from the front desk she came to the room with a very dusty vacuum. She did her best then was called back to the front desk. My husband and I ended up cleaning and vacuuming the air unit and the vacuum. I was afraid to vacuum the rug because the vacuum was spitting out more dust, I had to dust the room, also found mold in the bathroom.
Next morning there was a young coupe and their baby behind the front desk. I asked the man if he was the manager of the hotel and he said yes. I expressed my feeling on the room we had and all he could say was sorry.

For the last 4 years we have attended the Gunnison Car Show and stayed with the folks here at the Comfort Inn. They continue to impress us with there hospitality. As Car Nuts, we would bring our cars into the room if they would let us. The price value is there, as they provide a clean, freshly appointed room for our convenience. Breakfast is adequate and the staff very friendly.

The price was fair, but a very dull and outdated hotel. Worn out. I'm sure there is a more intriguing hotel than this in Gunnison. We decided to stop here last minute, and didn't do the proper research. Try to avoid getting a room on the backside, where you get views of the neighbor's backyards. And that's not a good thing I assure you.

it's a nice hotel in the gunnison erea, and if you are staying to ski in crested butte
you can save a lot of money because crested butte is a lot more pricey.
