I stayed here while doing a course at Western State this summer and had an amazing time! The hostel is a beautiful house easily accessible to the main streets and college (even lent us some bikes to ride around town with) and is run by very warm owners! I would definitely recommend that anyone stay here. I arrived on my own but left with some great new friends and some awesome memories of fun cookouts, climbing adventures, and camping trips (Amy gave some great advice for hiking routes!).

My stay at The Wanderlust Hostel was absolutely perfect. The home is clean and cozy and full of charm. It's the kind of place where you can tell the people who live there genuinely love taking care of the home. Amy, who owns the hostel, is an outstanding host. She gave me a lot of advice on where to hike and camp and was really friendly and kind. The hostel is very livable with lots of extra space to find some peace and quiet- a backyard, front porch, comfortable living room, and awesome kitchen. I really could not ask for a better place to call home while in Gunnison. I wish all hostels were this rad! Truly a special spot.

I had a great stay at Wanderlust. The atmosphere was laid back and fun! Amy and Kelsey were very accommodating and Amy was especially helpful in finding hikes in the area. The hostel is beautifully decorated and has a homey feel. I will be back!

My boyfriend and I ended up here by chance after camping in Crested Butte for several days and we felt so at home! It was such a welcome surprise to stumble upon such a clean, well-decorated, inviting hostel where we could relax and unwind before heading out for another adventure.

We used hostel bikes to go eat in town thanks to Amy's suggestions and later enjoyed the great company of Amy and all the other wonderful, creative, traveling guests. It's refreshing to be in the company of people following their passions and living for the moment!

Bed was comfy, shower was clean and hot, and kitchen was perfect. Hammocks in the backyard. Wohoo. Loved it there and never wanted to leave...but Amy did give us fabulous suggestions for continuing our adventures.

A must stay if in the area and you are comfortable with communal living. We can't wait to go back, hopefully for longer next time!
