This hotel was close to where I wanted to go however was in pretty bad shape. Some of the door locks were missing, there were bugs on the floor and craweling our of the sink. The staff was not friendly.

Offers good value for little money, but makes you feel rather poor. The pool though, was open and nice. Furniture was a bit old but allright. A lot of noise from the AC. Breakfast: everything made of plastic, except for some of the food. Good starting point for a trip into the Everglades. Just okay to stay one night.

We're not the kind of people who are complaining for details! But during that night of september 2011, we lived a real nightmare...

In fact everything was looking find at our arrival, but the reality was something different. My girlfriend found , in the garbage, a used condom. So she went back to the front desk to ask for another room, and got it.

In that second room, everything was looking again. Unfortunatly, i found flying bugs in the bed and i decided to remove it to have a look under it. And SURPRISE! An huge ant's nest with thousand and thousand ants running around.

So don't go there, it's a real mess...

The Floridian meet our requirements: clean, comfortable and cheap! It was a great value at about $65/night. If you are visiting Monkey Jungle, any of the Gator parks, or going snorkeling in Key Largo, staying in Homestead makes a great "base camp". The room took a while to cool down, so if you have reservations (we did not) ask if they can turn on the AC about an hour before you arrive. TV, mini-fridge and microwave were provided. Continental breakfast was pretty pathetic though, but there's an Ihop just up the street.
