We stopped here on a cross country trip. Our room was very clean and comfy. My husband accidently left his bag on the bumper of the truck and it fell off in the parking lot. We got a phone call while we were on the road from the hotel. They went thru their reservations and found the name that matched the name on the bag and contacted us. They sent the bag to Texas at no charge by UPS! It was a huge relief and above and beyond what they had to do. We Loved it!

it is a nice motel, the pool area is clean with plenty of towels. we enjoyed our room and loved the bathroom. i am not crazy about holiday inn's towel policy of if its dirty throw it on the floor and if its still 'ok' for tomorrow hang it up, but i think it is a nice idea. the staff was friendly and did indeed provide us with the quiet room that we asked for

This hotel is modern and convenient, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We had an acceptable stay. However, having now stayed at both in La Junta, the Hampton Inn gets the nod over the HI Express. This hotel is a little noisier, not quite as clean and well-maintained, and the pool and spa area isn't quite as nice.

There were no big problems at this hotel, nor were there any things worth mentioning on the positive side, either. Adequate is the best word to describe this hotel. The lady at check-in was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was not as nice as other Holiday Inn Express locations where I've stayed. The floor needed to be vacuumed, but was "okay"; the furniture was dusty. Internet was quite slow. The toilet bowl could have been cleaned better. None of this was "bad", but not quite up to standards. The room was a tad tight.
