We have stayed at Miss Gail's Inn in Aztec, NM several times since 2001. It's a quaint B&B in a historic building on Main Street. There is a lot of character and charm, and a hearty breakfast is served up with a dollop of interesting local information. Each room has a theme (our favorite is the Louisa May Alcott room); each room is done in antiques, some with exquisite quilts.
Rooms are very reasonable at $75-100 for a queen bed for two; suites are available.
Located on Main Street, it is within walking distance of several restaurants for lunch & evening dining, including Mexican, Thai, Bistro, Chinese, & the mainstream fast foods.
The AZTEC RUINS are there in town, and are absolutely fascinating. They are one of the FEW Ruins in the Southwest where you can actually walk in and among the ruins. Very interesting and sacred!
Last time we were there, we heard the B&B was for sale, so we hope that whoever buys it will maintain its wonderful charm and hospitality! It is a Great place to stay!
