We have stayed here before and returned because it was good value and clean.... BUT WE WILL NEVER RETURN. We were awakened by LOUD LOUD yelling and voices and partying females going in and out of a room and management did NOT do anything... were they prostitutes? Sure seemed like it with their clothing and activities. For 2 hours they were coming and going and YELLING. Night manager did NOTHING. Day manager did NOT accommodate our request for a refund or discount. HE DID NOT CARE. This place claims to be 100% non-smoking but THESE GUESTS were SMOKING day and night. Yes, we were angry and sleep deprived and are still very unhappy and dissatisfied. What has happened to customer service????

After staying at over 9 hotels before arriving in San Francisco, we were so disappointed with this choice. Don't be fooled by the website promising you high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction. It is a dump.
We entered our room and were confronted by a disgusting smell. It didn't go away and we all felt sick by the morning. Breakfast is also a big disappointment. It consisted of stale pastries only.
So please take my advise and don't stay here. Spend a little more and stay in a decent place.
Even 1 night is too long.

In October of 2010, I stayed there for 1 night. For $99 I got a room that smelled of mold / mildew, and I also saw a couple of small cockroaches on the wall. It was late in the evening when I arrived in SF, and due to poor planning on my part, there was no place else to stay. But given a choice, I will never go there again.

This hotel is like a number of hotels in this part of San Francisco that were built (probably in the 50s) around a central parking area. None of these hotels are very attractive, and are usually pretty dated, inside and out. However this one is kept in better condition than most of the hotels of this type. The free parking is valuable, the location is very good (lots of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, bus stops, etc., in walking distance) and the free wi-fi is handy. I've stayed here several times and never had a problem with the hotel. It's not fancy, but for SF it's not usually expensive. I have noticed however, that the rate changes dramatically based on how busy they are. So although it's a good place to stay, there have been times when I've stayed in other places when the rate for the few remaining rooms was quite high.
