Great customer service and friendly staff. Love the hot apple cider. Very enjoyable stay.

I was expecting a fabulous stay from the reviews, but really it was just ok. The only exceptional part of the stay is the free wifi and morning coffee for joining their rewards program, otherwise it's pretty average. Yes, the staff is friendly, but there is really nothing special here that makes it better than other up market hotels. The decor is average, the beds are soft and saggy and I'm pretty sure I could hear the doorman sneeze 17 floors below because while the in hotel sound proofing is pretty good, you can hear everything outside the hotel. Disappointing and not very restful.

Living in the Bay Area it is fun to spend the occasional weekend in the City. Checking tripadvisor I first learned of the existence of the Omni Hotel and noted the positive write-ups. Just back from a three-day stay, I am impressed in the way this hotel is run and must give kudos to the hotel manager. It is smaller than the usual four-star chain hotel and the experience of staying there is much more personal. The hotel is very well run as all the staff greets you with a smile and a pleasantry - from the door man, to the front desk, to the security guard and to the housekeeping. The employees seemed to enjoy working at the hotel and with each other and appeared to be pleased to see me there as a guest. This was very different than the anonymous feeling one gets at the larger hotels. The hotel itself is what one would expect for this category of a hotel - rooms were larger than normal size, smartly decorated with a flat-screen television. If you are a tourist the negative of the hotel is its location, as it is in the financial area, where very few restaurants and shops are open other than during the weekdays and also there are few amenities in the hotel for families with young children. Although the location in the financial area has its advantage, with the absence of what seems to be the ever-present panhandlers in the Union Square area.

We have many memories from our 4-day getaway to Frisco, yes, the city is everything you expect and more, that is for another review. However, this one is for the hotel, which was a glorious surprise. We booked an expedia travel deal, hotel/flight and car - all in one. The hotel staff made our stay a very special one; they greeted us by name upon each door opening. Let us start by saying this property is beautiful, the wood paneling, crystal chandeliers and grandeur on a scale that you would expect from bank building in the twenties. We booked a suite, which was quite spacious and very well appointed. I always pay extra for the upgrade, it's your vacation, why go cheap?The walk-in closet was room in itself. Our bathroom was designed for luxury, with marble from floor to its high 1920's + height ceiling. Our room was immaculate, extremely clean, with a kind welcome note upon entry. Proximity to Chinatown is just two or three blocks. The waterfront restaurants (the non-touristy high-end, interesting and delicious ones) are a short 3 to 4 block walk. Being a hotel-snob, with very high expectations, this hotel is on my A list for Frisco. We will return, and next time, with our adult children.
