Staying here is like renting out an old room in someone's house. You never quite feel at home here and at time's wish you were staying at a Super 8 Motel instead. This place would be a nice place to stay if you were family, but despite the graciousness of the owners, it just felt odd staying in this place, and I've stayed at numerous B&B's both in Bar Harbor which were better (Castlemaine Inn) as well as Ireland (The Irish know how it's done).

Nothing horendously bad, just not great, and much better options elsewhere.

The Morgan House Inn is a true bed and breakfast. With only three rooms and an attached resisdence for the inn keepers, you will never feel alone during your stay. The inn is situated within walking distance of Main Street, but far enough away to avoid all the loud commotion during the summer time. Its the perfect vantage point to set out on Whale Watches, Kayak Trips, Shopping or Hiking Trips through Acadia. If you are out doorsy, then plan on chatting with Richard, the inn keeper because he is also a Park Ranger and can show you excellent places off the beaten path.

Breakfast was of the continental type, small and light, but adequate. With so many great places to eat breakfast within walking distance, definately try to venture out.

The rooms are on the smaller side and may not be adequte for large families, but they are definately charming. The price is very reasonable as well.

Not having a review appear anywhere about this B & B did not make us comfortable but we had little choice on the 5th of July for one night.
When we were shown the room(actually a suite), all three of us were awestruck. The suite was absolutely stunning in the decor, furnishings and the meticulously clean. The room (Cadillac room) was really a suite with a spacious balcony overlooking a quite street.
Hostess Linn was very hospitable, made us feel comfortable and made delicious breakfast which were plentiful.
This is a one of a kind place to stay - luxury at an affordable price more like a home less like an Inn.
