We spent one night, and loved it. As residents of American Samoa, we were quite taken with the Tradewinds Hotel. The weather as well as our islands remoteness makes for a more challenging environment than most hotels have to deal with. We were very, very pleased, and as I told the front desk clerk, as she said I didn't have to check out, yet........,"I don't want to check out, I want to live here."

Did not have a reservation and got stuck with a $165.00 per night in what they called the "suite" which was nothing more than a room with a small couch.

The room was clean but smelled of mold.

Nothing to write home about.

Enjoyed the staff. Restraunts need better food. Need a stool for old passengers to climb in safely into shuttle van. Hope mom's feet is okay. Girls up front at desk are very caring.

They are very nice but need training on customer and hotel service. Rooms are sufficient but sometimes they forget to replace your towels. didn't tell us about the pending tsunami or where to go if it hit; fitness room had old equipment, two treadmils, two eliptical machines, one was broke. didn't tell us about the ecoli outbreak in American Samoa since December, you need to brush your teeth and drink only bottled water. Again, nice and pleasent staff but they need hotel industry training
