“Poor Management”

Yes, the condos are right on the beach. However, the building is located in the ghetto of Oahu. You are just as close to the tent city where all the homeless people live as you are to the beach. There are way too many sketchy characters floating around the area for my family. The ghetto aside, the worst part of the stay was the manager John. He treats his 'guests' as prisoners rather than paying customers. I have never met a ruder person in my life. Stay away from this property.

“Fabulous place, with less than fabulous staff...”

This place is amazing, well off the beaten, tourist laden path. The condo was wonderful with unbeatable views. The staff on the other hand, were very cranky. My wife was using the to rinse sand of her feet before entering the elevator (as required by resport policy). A staff member grabbed it out of her hands and said, "I'll take this now." So, we proceeded toward the elevator. A second staff member saw she was about to enter the elevator with sand still on her feet and started hounding her about it then went through the entire lobby telling everyone about all the "rude" tourists that come and make his job so much harder. Needless to say we were less than thrilled, luckily it was our last day there.
So as long as the staff took their Prozac that morning, your stay should be all that you hoped for and more!

Room Tip: The corner rooms have a wonderful balcony that wraps around both sides of the room with a privacy ga...

Yes, this building is located a fair drive from Waikiki but that is one of the things we loved about it. Where else could we have found a beachfront property, with all the amenities, for such a reasonable price? We swam, snorkeled, BBQ'd socialized and relaxed and could afford to stay for two weeks instead of one.

We booked 2 units for two weeks through VRBO and both were exactly as depicted on the listing. Each had floaties, beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers, a fully stocked kitchen (minus food), a selection of towels, phone, internet, washer and dryer etc. etc. We really lacked for nothing and appreciated all the extras.

It is quite a drive from the city if you end up in traffic but on the weekend we were able to head in fairly early and never got slowed down. Nice not to have an extra charge for parking too.

Then there's the beach. It was truly amazing. We made a trip to Hanauma Bay and found that we preferred our beach better. Less people, better visibility and the same fish. Water was warm and beautiful, sometimes wavy but always soothing. Rarely was there more than a dozen people on the beach and we loved watching the local folks out on the rocks trying for some fish.

Everyone was friendly and pleasant and we felt more like guests or visitors than tourists. If I had anything to complain about, and it's hard to think of something, it would be the chickens. Someone not too far away has a rooster who liked to hear himself. Of course, we could have closed our windows and put the air conditioning on but we loved the breeze and the sound of the waves.

The area is populated with locals and is far from the tourist strip, so if that is what you are after, this place probably won't work for you. If you want to feel at home and comfortable with an amazing sunset night after night, check it out.

Room Tip: All rooms are great. Everyone has an ocean view.

the resort was a quite bit away from honolulu on the leeward side of oahu but beachfront was never crowded and peaceful. our room was a bit small and dated but was very comfortable with a great oceanview. saw a sea turtle swimming near the beach on our first day here...it was great! the sunsets has been amazing! if you're looking to get away from the traffic and noise of waikiki...this is a great place to stay.

“What a great timeshare!”

I am writing this review because this resort is not given a "5 star" by Interval International Timeshare company. While I do not know the criteria for the rating, this resort should not be overlooked. It is a bit out of the way, so a car is definitely needed. We were booked into a one bedroom room on the ground level, and were able to step right onto the beach. The room appeared to be newly renovated and very clean. The resort is in a residential neighborhood, which can be a little awkward and the beach is public, but you cannot beat the surf and the beauty. It was very laid back, almost like being at home. The resort also houses many people as their 2nd home, so it makes it nice to have a local staying next door to you. No restaurant onsite, but at dinner time, there were plenty of other guests grilling next to us. It was an extremely enjoyable resort.
