I've visited Turtle Bay resort before, and my last trip was not nearly as nice as this one. My room was much bigger, and had great views of the beach, pool, ocean, and mountains.
The best addition they have made is all of the new activities. The Scooters are fun, Helicopter tours look great. You can also ride horses, surf, snorkel, rent bikes, play tennis, make Lei's, play Ukulele, and there were several surf competitions there are the resort. How cool is that? My last visit, I don't think half these options were available. I can't even remember all the activities that were available for cheap, and many for free. There was so much going on there, you would think the beaches would be so packed you couldn't have private space, but that is not true at all. There is so much beach here, I often walked for several minutes before seeing another beach-goer in the distance. They really have made the resort a much funner place.
Downfalls are, the bathrooms still desperately need to be updated. The shower and toilet are filthy and the curtain rod was splitting, stopping the shower curtain from sliding properly. The lighting in that room must have been inspired by a prison. The couch had stains and did not look clean at all, and the construction on the room below on my last day was ridiculous. I am sure they want to do all of these upgrades, and I hope they have them done before my next visit, but it wouldn't stop me from going again. I can't imagine anyone would run out of things to learn, do, or see even after a month. There is so much going on, and the Surfer bar is a nice addition. Skip Waikiki and come straight here, after you stop and get groceries of course. I highly recommend bringing your own food because it'll cut down on the high prices at the resort eateries. Give it a shot, I'm sure any downfall will be nothing compared to how much fun you'll have.

This was my 1st time at this property and will not be my last. I love the proximity to the ocean and the spot lights they have on at night facing the ocean so you can see the waves crest and break. The staff was very friendly, especially Ann B. If I had a choice to pay for 7 nights here, or get 7 free nights in Waikiki, I would choose to stay pay and stay here.

This place is wonderful. From the front desk staff to housekeeping, to the lovely woman @ the coffee bar who remembered our sunrise order after the second morning of our stay...everything was absolutely perfect. Our extended family group ranged in age from 6mos., thru teens and beyond and everyone was happy! How often does that happen? Don't miss the spectacular trail rides @ the stables.

We stayed 1 wk and found so much to do and see right here at the resort. The beach has great snorkeling!
