“INCREDIBLE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

the pineapple inn made our visit to maui what it was. spend a week here and had the time of our life. location was great, grounds were incredible, and view from hottub was spectacular. when we arrived there was a basket of goodies, some fruit, and a drawn full of coupons that were very helpful. steve and mark were both so kind and their puppy was a fabulous welcomer. will definatly be visiting again; thank you for your guys's hospitality.

Room Tip: we stayed in the cottage and it was a great size, and we saved alot of money by eating in; although...

“Enjoyed Every Moment”

Spent a lovely 3 days there the week before Thanksgiving. Admittedly, if you are the type of person who wants a hot cooked breakfast and a made bed everyday, this is not going to be your place. But if you can be satisfied with a toasted bagel, fruit, yogurt juice and coffee each morning on your lanai overlooking an immaculate yard watching the cutest birds you've ever scene - book a room now. The grounds are great and the hot tub is hot and private. The place is small so we rarely saw anyone else and never had to share the tub even though we used it each night. When we needed anything, we asked and received. Mark & Steve are great - very friendly. There were chairs and boogie boards to take to the beach. They even have beach towels we used for the hot tub. Kihie is a great location and yes, you have to drive. But we were driving everywhere anyway so it didn't matter to us.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms have a view of the ocean from the lanai, but downstairs rooms you can exit straight t...

“Great place but you need a car!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

Pineapple Inn is really what it looks like on the pics: a haven of tranquility, situated in a lush garden with great views to the Pacific. But be aware, you need a car to get around! Kihei is a fairly boring place, with malls and restaurants scattered along a 10 mile or so coastal road. Pineapple Inn is about 1-2 miles off this road (and the beach!), so make sure you have wheels. This being said, the place itself is great, with spacious rooms (only 6), a fridge stocked with fruit, chocolate and other breakfast items, and the possibility to pick your own bananas in the yard. Mark & Steve, the owners, make you feel at home immediately and are only a phonecall away for a refill of your fridge or some good advice about the island. All in all highly recommended, especially when you want to avoid the crowds (and prices) at the big resorts.

“This is paradise.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

Great accomodation and location but even better is the attention given to guests by Steve and Mark. This is the perfect location to enjoy Maui and I do not think you will find a better spot to stay.

“Great Amenities - Beautiful grounds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

We spent 4 nights at the Pineapple Inn in Sept 2011. Really nice room with a great view. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, with a nice pool and hot tub in the backyard. Refrigerator was stocked with fruit and muffins, etc and the cabinet next to the garage was filled with items to use at the beach - boogie boards, coolers, mats, etc. (If you have questions, just call the # provided and they were right there to help.) Free, fast internet. Only drawback is that there is a highway just past the back boundary. You can't see traffic, but you can hear it if your Lanai door is open. Very interesting neighborhood (Maui Meadows Subdivision). Very close access to beaches (Big beach & Little beach are within 5 miles, and other beaches all up and down Kihei.)

Room Tip: Ocean view best from top floor. (Only 2 rooms on each floor.)
