“Best B&B that we ever stayed in”

We were in Maui, Hawaii in Nov 2011 when we stayed at this Bed and Breakfast in Kihei. I wasn't really sure about this initially when my husband booked this place, but you bet he had done his research. The lady seemed very friendly and polite thorough the email exchanges that we had. And after meeting her in person i felt the warmth and helping nature. The first morning she greeted us and gave us good tips about what to do around the area which was extremely useful (including travel books, maps and CDs about Maui). But what impressed me most was that the room was stocked with everything you could possibly imagine, most of the items you'll never find in any B&B. All in all an excellent place to stay, affordable, comfortable and excellent location (we travelled throughout Maui from this B&B). I highly recommend this place to everybody, best i've ever stayed in.

“A private and peaceful experience on Maui”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Rather than stay at a hotel it is always a treat to find an out of the way b&b that is priced right and gives you the feel of being in a park. This b&b is located in a subdivision high up from Kihei Town but is only 3 miles from a major supermarket and the beach. It has just 3 rooms but from sunrise to sunset you hear nothing but birds and occasionally voices of nearby residents. No a/c needed but there is plenty of flow through ventilation, ceiling fan, washer/dryer access (free), great continental breakfast (fruit and freshly baked muffins), a manager who gives you your privacy. The room has cable TV and DVR, frig, microwave and outside table and chairs from which you can relax and enjoy breakfast and the surroundings. Hale Huanani (house of beautiful fruit) lives up to its name and I highly recommend it but not for people with kids.

“Awesome!”

We stayed at the Manako Cottage...everything was fantastic! The freshly baked bread and fruit for breakfast, the full kitchen + utensils, complimentary beach gear (chairs, towels, boogie boards, parasols, coolers etc), an awesome garden and Susan herself, a friendly and helpful host. Best of all was the house cat, Mike (we called him Tama.) He seemed to like to hang out with us, there were times when he was waiting in the driveway for us to come home.
Definitely the place to stay in Kihei.

“Fantastic B&B”

This is a great B&B to stay at. There are many more amenities than Susan lists on her website. She bakes some delicious homemade bread and fruits every morning. There are coolers, beach chairs, towels, boogie boards and more for use while staying there. She even let us check out and shower after our checkout and before our redeye flight. Location is not on the beach but a secure residential area which was no problem. If you want great beach access, check the expensive Wilea hotels and pay many times more. This is a great deal!
