“Felt like home is home was Hawaii”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Wonderful, quiet neighborhood setting less than a mile from the beach. Great kitchenette set up if you're staying for a while. The bed was a little on the lumpy side but still comfortable. A breakfast lanai that you can just hang out on all day for the view. We felt like we were living in Hawaii and at a GREAT PRICE!! Awesome hostess in Eva!

Room Tip: Papaya room has a quirky set up but is quite large with the bedroom separate from the living room/ki...

“Maui Bed & Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

My husband and I traveled to Maui in January 2012 with another couple and needed a room for one night before our condo was available. We were able to reserve the Mango room, which was a one bedroom and included a futon couch in the living room. It worked out great for us. The room was very clean and comfortable. It had doors out to the patio, where the landscaping was very nice and the water fountain made it peaceful. The breakfast was served on the upper lanai, which had a beautiful view of the ocean on one side, and the mountain on the other side. The furnishings were very well kept and made you feel at home. Eva, the owner, was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had about the island. It was a great place to start our vacation, and I would definately recommend this place to anyone traveling to Maui.

“A wonderful world?”

For many reviewers this place seems to be a wonderful world. But you must know a few things before deciding, whether this might probably apply to you or not. First of all: You have to be a dog personality. There are three of them and they are all around. Bring an alarm clock: Breakfast is till 9. Of course, they say you can come a bit later. But it's their home, we didn't want to disturb. If you manage to get up: Be prepared to a lot of small talk early in the morning.... Bring enough money: Maui is expensive and this place is no exception. Never forget your ear plugs in holidays: Here, you hear every word of your neighbors (and their tv) at the B&B and the music from loud neighbors across the street. Unless your a camper (we are) or something like that, don't expect to use the barbecue. The rooms are very clean but if you open the cupboard and look at the dishes (in Pineapple Suite), you probably decide to go out for dinner. If these things are not a problem for you, go for it. It might be a wonderful world for you. After all: choose the room carefully. We stayed at Guava and Papaya Suite; they are very different.

“wonderful hosts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

The B & B is an ideal starting point to explore the fantastic area of Kihei. The rooms are spacious and lovely decorated, but could be a little more cleaner. Nevertheless we felt very comfortable. The main reason for this was the warm hospitality of Eva and Jim. They have taken much time for us. Without their valuable advice, we would probably have missed some of the surrounding attractions (eg road to Hana, fantastic catamaran "Alii Nui" for snorkeling with turtles or beautiful beaches). Thanks again for this! We can recommend this B & B.

“A Wonderful Experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

We fulfilled a dream and travelled to 3 Hawaiian islands as a family. On Maui, we stayed at "What a Wonderful World B&B" and were pleasantly surprised. It was close to the beach, accommodations were very comfortable, service was nice and the home cooked meals were amazing. Definitely would recommend!
