My wife and I were in Story to visit family for the weekend and we really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and we loved the furnishings. The bed was comfortable and the refrigerator was very handy. Paula was a treat and made sure we were well taken care of. We loved the mountain charm and will definitely go back!

I found the Inn on the internet and in this case, found more than I hoped for. The room was decorated in country style and so very clean. They have installed sleek, high-tech climate control units in each room. At night it was so quiet that I turned off the unit and opened my window. The yard is well cared for and hot tub is area is immaculate. Paula and Patrick are very friendly and were helpful in getting me oriented to the area. Each morning I went over to the office to get a cup of tea and they were attentive each time.
The first time you visit, make sure you have the directions clear. The Inn is not on the freeway and Story, WY is tucked back in the forest on a couple of small roads (paved, though.) I came in at night and got a little turned around. Don't let this stop you... I called the Inn and Paula directed me all the way in.
I feel like I have found a great place to stay and new friends.

Story Pines is a excellent value. He rooms were very clean, The owners were friendly and we never wanted for anything. After reading one of the reviews about pet odor I was a little nervous but after we arrived I was pleasantly surprised. They make everyone aware they allow pets but there is no evidence of our room ever having a pet in there. The setting and scenery are remarkable and you are in a small town and very quiet. I will stay there again for sure More than I expected for sure.

We loved this place. The owners have obviously knocked themselves out on fixing this place up from its previous incarnation as a rundown motel. Pleasant greeting upon arrival, nice grounds, super clean room. The room was not large but it was adequate. The bed was comfortable, state of the art heating and cooling sysytem in each room with remote, basic tv, larger fridge with nice size freezer compartment that actually worked! (When was the last time a motel freezer actually froze something for you?) Soaps and shampoos were higher end brand, towels were newer and all plumbing worked well. I call that a good stay!
