“Great value!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Just spent couple of nights at this motel and was very satisfied. Nothing fancy, and no "extras," but for the "senior" rate of $35.99 for a single room, you can't beat it. The room was very clean and modern, and seemed to have been recently refurbished. Kind of European in its size and furnishings. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large and clean. The floor is some sort of linoleum, but that was fine with me, as I always wonder just what is hiding in those rugs in cheap motels. It's not in the center of town, but it's close to a grocery store and right at the junction of the road to the ski area and Teton Pass. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

“Probably a good deal for Jackson Hole”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Stayed on a Saturday in September which is apparently still high season in JH; almost $100. There were no vacancies when I got there (I booked online several weeks previous). My room was on the first floor, next to the office, facing the street and parking lot--therefore no privacy. It was also noisy--it sounded like someone was moving furniture right next to me. As other reviewers have said, the room was small and very basic--platform bed, vinyl tile flooring. There was a flat screen TV, and a fridge and microwave, and a built in table and banquette which was surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom was large with a tiny 1/4-round shower. The water in the sink took a long time to heat up.
For a Motel 6 it was okay. I didn't expect a lot of amenities, but there was nothing! No hair dryer but that didn't matter because there was no shampoo either. No clock, not even on the microwave--when I woke up in the middle of the night (more furniture-moving noises) I had to check my phone to see what time it was. At the very least, they should have provided a clock and some tissues.
Jackson Hole (and the Motel 6)--been there, did that, don't need to do it again.

Room Tip: If you have a choice (I didn't), get a room on the top floor facing into the courtyard.

“Surprisingly great for a Motel 6”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

We heard they remodeled and decided to try it out for a night. It was the best Motel 6 we've ever stayed in. For $50 a night it was a great deal. It's pretty basic, but really that's all we needed. They do allow pets, which is always a plus for us. It has a really modern feel. It's very clean (they removed the carpet and put in laminate, a plus for us always!) and cozy. I do think the floors could stand to have an area rug. Otherwise, if you want a great place to stay without breaking the bank, this is it!

Room Tip: All the rooms are pretty generic. None in particular are better than others.

“Overly Ergonomic”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

The place IS clean... I grant you that but Motel 6 has carried ergonomics to new heights in the recent remodel of this site. There is no carpeting except a 3X3 foot piece right by the door. The flooring is some sort of paded linoleium that's made to look like wood. The two best ways to describe it is "slippery when wet" and "always cold". I had to run the heater at 78 degrees just to keep the temperature in the room at a decent level and to keep my feet from freezing directly to that linoleum when I got up at night to use the restroom. Sure Jackson is a cold place in the winter but the cracks in the poorly sealing door (Rm 105) and the tile flooring seem to magnify that cold factor there by X10! I had to use my dirty towels to mop the floor since there was no way to sit near that 3X3 foot piece of carpet to remove my wet boots. This forces one to walk across the room to get the single Ikea style chair, and by then the fake wood flooring is already wet from snow and water, so there goes your towels. If you stay a week as I did they only service your room every three days. TV channels are limited on the HDTV but it's obvious that Motel 6 has saved so much money with these new ergonomics that they now give you three pillows instead of the usual two. The bed is adaquate... not too firm and not too soft... beware... the mattress does slide around on flat Ikea style board that it sits on. Water here is "dispensed" through the use of water saving faucets in both the shower and sink. It takes longer to take a shower and longer to fill a glass from the sink with water saving nozzels so I don't know what they think they are saving by doing this?? Oh and the water tastes putrid... it's soft water. Keep bottled water in your room.
The parking lot is poorly maintained in the winter and certainly this can be difficult to do in Jackson but I ended up falling out of my Ford Expedition with dinner one dark evening and injuring my right shoulder as the parking area in front of my room had developed icy areas, so be sure to wear your golf shoes or your spiked logger boots! The staff is excellent and very courteous at this location and always has been. I can't fault them for the stupid remodel. I won't be returning again.

Room Tip: Don't stay at this place. Spend a little extra and get a room with a tub and normal amenities.

“Our first Motel 6”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

Stayed here for just 1 night and were very pleased. We had a recently renovated room and the decor and furniture was very modern. Staff at check in were friendly and helpful and bearing in mind the prices in Jackson we paid under $70 for late September. This Motel 6 does not provide breakfast (we understand no Motel 6 provides breakfast) but knowing that in advance was helpful as we could plan accordingly. The room was spotless and we had a good view (something that is often lacking!) and we would certainly stay here again. Its very central to the shopping areas, you could walk to the K Mart if you wanted to and although there was a main traffic route in front of the hotel we were not bothered by noise.
